for whoever cares: i have categorized the Fauna of New Guinea as belonging to both Fauna of Oceania and Fauna of Indonesia. what's the use of categories if we aren't inclusive, right? politically, at large part of the island is Indonesia. but geologically and biogeographically, New Guinea is undoubtedly Australasian in character, and specifically Melanesian. so there. - Μετανοιδ (talk, email) 03:49, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
