Description Flying Officer Leslie Redford Clisby, DFC, Royal Air Force Born McLaren Vale, SA 1914-06-29. Trained RAAF Point Cook, Vic 1935-1937. 1937-07 Short term commission to RAF as Pilot Officer. 1937-12 Appointed as Flying Officer to No. 1 Fighter Squadron, Tangmere - Sussex, England. 1939-12-03 Went to France with No. 1 Fighter Squadron in Advanced Air Striking Force. Missing France 1940-05-15. Age 25 years 11 months.
