Description
English: Akbar on an elephant receives homage from the Gujarat nobles in 1572. Among the bowers is I‘timad Khan “Gujarati”. Other nobles historically present include Mir Abu Turab, Saiyid Hamid Bukhari, Ulugh Khan, Jhujhar Khan, Ikhtiyar-ul-Mulk, Wajih-ul-Mulk, Mujahid Khan. In the background are members of the imperial Mughal army being executed by elephants for raiding the Gujarati camp. Painted in Agra.
