La statue est accompagnée d'une plaque, dont le texte suit:
« Nous ne résoudrons pas nos problèmes en cherchant des solutions qui divisent à une époque où, partout, des efforts sont faits pour chercher les raisons d'unir.
Nous devons envisager les changements dans le contexte d'une situation mondiale. Demain, les communications et les besoins auront rapproché, comme jamais auparavant, les hommes de toutes les langues, races ou religions. »
