Description
English: Aerial view of a small part of Belton Lake on the Leon River in Bell County, Texas, USA. The lake is impounded by Belton Dam and located near the town of Belton, Texas. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers constructed the dam on the river in 1954 for flood control and water supply. Belton Lake is a long, narrow, winding lake with many curves and coves along the lakeshore.
