English: The Palais Ephraim at the corner of Poststraße and Mühlendamm in the Nikolaiviertel in Berlin-Mitte. The original Rokoko mansion was built 1762-1766 by Friedrich Wilhelm Diterichs for the banker Veitel Ephraim and was extended by Hermann Blankenstein from 1892 to 1895. It was demolished in 1936 for the construction of a new bridge at Mühlendamm. The new building is a reconstruction (using original parts) dating back to 1985-1987. It is now part of the Stiftung Berliner Stadtmuseum (Foundation City Museum Berlin) and has been designated as a historic landmark.
