Berlin, Hotel "Metropol"
ADN-ZB Deutsche Demokratische Republik 8.3.1977 schw Hotel "Metropol" nahm Probebetrieb auf (DDR-Hauptstadt Berlin). Der vierte Hotelneubau der DDR-Hauptstdt wird Mitte April 1977 seiner Bestimmung übergeben werden. In elf Etagen verfügt es in 340 komfortablen Zimmern und Appartements über 690 Betten, 13 Restaurants, eine Schwimmhalle (16 x 8 m) mit Solarium, Fitness-Centre und Saunaräumen. Ferner gibt es Souvenir- und andere Einkaufsstätten, einen Friseur- und Kosmetiksalon. Im Juni 1977 wird auch ein eigenes Parkhochhaus für 400 Kraftwagen zur Verfügung stehen. In Zusammenarbeit mit DDR-Unternehmen führte die schwedische Firma SIAB den Hotelneubau aus, die zuvor die Interhotels "Rügen" in Saßnitz und "Neptun" in Warnemünde errichtet hatte.
