English: One can also see a minaret of the nearby Selimiye mosque. Good information can be found at https://turkisharchaeonews.net/object/fortifications-and-macedonian-tower-edirne. In essenceː there are in a small archaeo-park, situated at the foot of the Macedonian Tower, in the very centre of the city, a tower, some remains of the Roman period, the remains of furnaces and a basilica from Byzantine times.
