Summary

Description
English: This image of the Endeavour crater was taken from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on March 7, 2009. Endeavour is an impact crater located in the Meridiani Planum which is near the equator of Mars. Endeavour Crater is 22 kilometers (14 miles) in diameter and starting in August of 2008 was the destination for the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. This image includes annotations showing the position of Opportunity and names for the craters Iazu, Endeavour, and Victoria.
