Description
English: A McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet on display at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum. This aircraft, Bureau Number 161353, was received by the Navy in June 1981, and was first a part of the VFA-125 training squadron. It was transferred to the Naval Air Test Center's Strike Aircraft Test Directorate in March 1986. It was flown as a Blue Angels jet from March 1990 to September 1991, and retired it August 1993. It was transferred to the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum in September 1996.
