Photograph of a battery of 8 inch Howitzers of Australian 54th Siege Artillery Battery, Western Front, 1917.


The gun is mounted on the Vickers firing platform, with the traversing rail visible beneath the end of the trail.
Date August 1917 - August 1918. First exhibited at the Kodak Salon, Sydney, 1919.
