Description

Photograph of authentic reproductions of early World War I improvised British hand grenades.

Left is a reproduction of the original Jam Tin Grenade, made literally from jam tins or condensed milk tins. Right is a reproduction of the specially manufactured Double Cylinder Hand Grenade, based on the jam tin grenade.

The examples shown were made & used for re-enactments by the Great War Society.
