Summary

Description An Allied reconnaissance photo showing a German Heinkel He 111Z aircraft taking off at Regensburg-Obertraubling (Germany), in May 1944. Consisting of two He 111 aircraft joined together by a common centre-section, these aircraft were developed to tow Messerschmitt Me 321 gliders. All five engines are clearly indicated by shadow.
