Summary

Description

Photograph of a page from a rare Blackletter bible (1497) printed in Strasbourg by Johann Grüninger.[1] The coloured chapter initials were handwritten after printing. The original is owned by the submitter. The page contains the Book of Proverbs ("Proverbs of Solomon"). Read for example chapter II: "fili mi si susceperis sermones meos et mandata mea absconderis penes te" (http://scripturetext.com/proverbs/2-1.htm)
