English: Backscatter electron micrograph of detrital zircons from the Archaean metasediments of the Jack Hills, Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. The upper one is strongly rounded by abrasion (anhedral morphology) whereas the lower one shows most of the original crystal facets (euhedral morphology).
