Description
English: Josselin Castle. Taken from the bridge across the river Oust in Josselin on a very calm August evening. The château was lit with golden sunlight and reflected in the relatively still water.

About 30 frames, in five rows, were combined in PtGui to produce this 150 megapixel stitched image. I used a 50mm lens (on a 1.5x crop camera) and Nodal Ninja 3II panoramic head on top of a Benro C1282TV1 Travel Angel II tripod. The resulting image is similar to that produced by a lens with 16mm focal length on my crop camera (24mm full frame), but much much more detailed.

Stitching the bottom row of frames was difficult as the software generated no automatic control points. With only the surface of the water in these frames, reflections are distorted by ripples and surface features are shifted by the downward movement of the river. Smartblend did a better job than PtGui's own blend tool in handling such movement and discontinuities in the ripples.
