- The image is needed to illustrate Tibetan activist and writer Thupten Jigme Norbu
- The image is rare in that it depicts Norbu with his brother the Dalai Lama and his background
- Norbu died in 2008, and a free or replaceable image of him, particularly with Tenzin Gyatso is highly unlikely
- It significantly contributes to the quality of the articles and is needed for educational purposes.
