Summary

Description
English: A simplified explanation of spin-transfer torque using the Stoner model of ferromagnetism. Current flowing out of the fixed layer is spin-polarized. When it reaches the free layer the majority spins relax into a lower-energy state, applying a torque to the free layer in the process.
