Description

This exposure is part of the Jurassic-aged Stump Formation, a marine, mixed-siliciclastics unit. The rocks in this area have been tectonically tilted - the beds are dipping toward the viewer and to the left.

Stratigraphy: Stump Formation, Middle Jurassic to Upper Jurassic

Locality: Fossil Discovery Trail, western Dinosaur National Monument, northern Uintah County, northeastern Utah, USA (vicinity of 40° 26' 30.98" North latitude, 109° 17' 56.89" West longitude)
