Description
English: NOVO SELO TRAINING AREA, Bulgaria – U.S. Army Lt. Col. David E. Hurley fires a rocket-propelled grenade on Aug. 18 at a shooting range here. Hurley is the Joint Task Force-East commander of U.S. forces in Bulgaria who observed RPG fire training for the U.S. Army Tennessee National Guard’s 1-181st Field Artillery Battalion out of Chattanooga, Tenn., conducted by members of the Bulgarian Land Forces. JTF-E operations in Bulgaria and Romania provide the U.S. and its partners the opportunity to engage in and demonstrate the continuance of peaceful and friendly international relations through combined training.
