Kalar (Arabic: كلار; Sorani Kurdish: کەلار, romanized: Kelar)[3][4] is a city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, it is the administrative center of the Garmian Region and is located on the west bank of the Sirwan (Diyala) river in Sulaymaniyah Governorate. It is located east of Kifri and west of the towns of Qasri Shirin and Sarpol Zahab, located in Kermanshah.[1]

Kalar is a town located in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains and is approximately 80 kilometers southwest of Sulaymaniyah city. [5]

History

Climate
