New season

[edit]

Please add east bengal and punjab fc on the page's map. Shaurya 102 (talk) 15:17, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Shaurya 102, participation is not yet confirmed. Once there is an official announcement either from the club or the ISL, one can add. Please keep in mind wikipedia is NOTNEWS. Drat8sub (talk) 00:34, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of foreign players' names

[edit]

All users who are editing in this article, it's a kind request, don't add any name of players or anything else until and unless it is officially announced. The relaible source to be considered only ISL/Clubs websites or twitter handles, neither transfer market nor goal.com is relaible source in this case. And keep in mind wikipedia is not RUMOUR or CRYSTALBALL and NOTNEWS. So, don't start WP:EDITWAR in the article if any editor remove any unofficial materials. Thank you. Drat8sub (talk) 00:39, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, while adding, please mention the source in the edit summary, that will be helpful for the reviewing editor. Thank you. Drat8sub (talk) 00:42, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
SHISHIR DUA, care to read talk pages sometimes. Read what I've written above and stop edit warring. Add names if published by ISL or respective Club websites or their twitter handle, no other source is reliable, as simple as that. And when you add names, in the edit summary add the citation. Please resolve your content dispute here instead. --slakrtalk / 06:47, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Slakr, there is no content dispute, as mentioned above, to add something in wikipedia, you need to add materials backed by reliable source, I've asked the users in very clear manner that add when something which is officially announced and you can back it by reliable source. Tranfermarket a website is not a reliable source per RSN and these user are citing transfermarket for adding content and this thing has been multiple times said to the concerned users. How can you resolve something if someone don't or fail to understand simple guidelines of WP:RS, WP:NOTNEWS, WP:NOTRUMOR. Here the user who is persistently adding unsourced and rumoured content, asked them to provide reliable source link if they want to add. Do you see any engagement here form the users or other users to go through talk page. So that the thing does not become dispute content, I myself opened the thread here which instead they should ahve opened and clealry mentioned where they are doing wrong. Drat8sub (talk) 14:46, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I got it wrong you mean to resolve at RCD. Ok I will use it. Drat8sub (talk) 14:52, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quallification description in Regular season table

[edit]

Officially ISL regular season runners up will not get the AFC Cup playoffs spot, ISL champions will get the AFC Cup playoffs spot. In case ISL premiers (regular season table topper) also win the ISL Trophy, then ISL regular season runners up will get the AFC Cup playoffs spot. So please update regular season table. TransferMarket, Soccerway

[edit]

Hello, I am bringing this to everyone again because last few weeks I've noticed that contents are added based on Transfer Market, soccerway or any lesser known private websites. Please mind these websites are not reliable sources and don't add any name and materials based on them. Thank you. Drat8sub (talk) 11:28, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hemanth Dx, whenever you edit an article, care to go once through the talk page of that article, which helps the user to know things that are already discussed or issues raised. You are perhaps the 3rd user who is doing same mistakes because you all notoriosly have same trade of not having patience to go through guidelines, talkpage discussion, ignoring warnings or question asked for explanations or even considering advices from experienced editors here. This is the last time I will address that TranferMarkt is not RS. And anything you add in wikipedia should have citation with it. Here you no need to add in the box but add in the edit summary so that everyone can see the source. And if you can't, then don't edit. Drat8sub (talk) 13:26, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just an FYI, soccerway is a reliable source and is used throughout wikipedia for football articles. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:58, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
ArsenalFan700, I realised this when I was refering to the recently blocked user Shishir Dua. However, well you may use, but if you take any article to GAN or FLC you may be asked to change with better source. Drat8sub (talk) 22:34, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. Soccerway is only for statistics and general bio details like birth date, birth location etc. If an article is taken to GAN or FLC then I expect some more details and other things that can only be acquired via newspapers and other reliable sources. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 22:43, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Drat8sub he has played for Japanese national youth team and has been signed as an Asian player, so he should be labeled as Japanese player.

has been signed as an Asian player- any source of such claim? Wikipedia does not allow OR, played for Japan Youth team does not confirm his passport/citizenship, and highly unlikely that someone giving up British passport. Drat8sub (talk) 17:28, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Drat8sub https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Icons#Flags Here it says "Flags should generally illustrate the highest level the sportsperson is associated with. • Comment: First off, the player shouldn't even be added yet until he is officially announced by Mumbai City. I get websites like goal.com want to be first to the scoop and all but we can't add players until they are announced officially. Secondly, the flag would be Japanese, especially if he is signed as an Asian player for Mumbai City. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 20:39, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArsenalFan700 the move is officially announced by Benevento

Player is confirmed by the club is has given him to Mci on loan. Does not need MCI to confirm anything more..I've added the link also of tweet and the website. And there is no source which can justify he played for Japan u17. JFA was interested in him for 2020 Olympics. But no source which can justify he played. Drat8sub (talk) 20:56, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, good. Didn't realize that the club announced it. Also this confirms that he did represent Japan at the under-16 level. He should be included as Japanese unless he announces a switch. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:07, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

AF700 we cannot ignore RS, that too like The Hindu, NDTV, TOI. We can only ignore if written "set to" or "will be"...and confirmation is directly from owner. Drat8sub (talk) 17:41, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Even the owner is saying that they offered him a two-year deal. He signed, cool, but the deal is not finalized. It is very, very close but it isn't finalized and nothing has been announced officially yet. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 17:52, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There is a reason we wait for official confirmation here. Look at Adam le Fondre, there is a reason Sydney FC could only announce that he is joining a club abroad, not specifying the club itself. The deal isn't finalized, the deal might not even be active yet. That is why we wait for official confirmation which the ISL is very good at doing. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 17:55, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

AF700, this one, AFC confirming the same. I think we should not hold this one, Fowler can be added. Please put your thoughts. Thank you. Drat8sub (talk) 15:16, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Table order

[edit]

SuperJew, you mentioned according to Country. Can you please mention where such thing written in WP:FOOTY or MOS. And secondly, reader are not supposed to know the flags representing country, so how come according to country. Drat8sub (talk) 15:46, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just throwing my two cents in here but I think this needs to be organized by when the player was signed. Player signed most recently in the far left open slot etc. Obviously the exception would be the AFC designated player. In my opinion, this makes sense since it eliminates options which don't really have a consensus such as organized based on first name or nationality. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 16:03, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not related to this, but MOS:CHARTS says, "Charts should be arranged by country in alphabetical order." And Mos Style for "see also" says, "list should be sorted either logically (for example, by subject matter), chronologically, or alphabetically." I don't find anything better than this. Drat8sub (talk) 16:36, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Drat8sub: Well you've answered yourself ;) It should be sorted logically by subject matter. As this table's subject matter is foreign players, the most logical primary sorting is by country :) Regarding the AFC player, obviously Scott Neville and Cy are the AFC players for the club, as they are of Asian nationality (only way they might not be is if there's another Asian player (like ATK), but then it's irrelevant which one is "technically" in the AFC spot). --SuperJew (talk) 17:04, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
SuperJew, I clearly mentioned unrelated to topic. Those are not related to this, but I brought this for discussion. Not necessary to be followed. Anyway, I could agree with with you on ordering per country since we don't have any other possible guidelines. The three players which I mentioned are not announced such by club and those clubs have more slots for more afc players, so in no way one should put them in AFC slot as, it will be NOTNEWS vio. So only, keeping the country ordering version. Drat8sub (talk) 17:16, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Other players are placed in afc slot, are announced by clubs and in two cases after all signing. So doing that will be unsourced claim. Drat8sub (talk) 17:21, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Drat8sub: Here are references saying these players are for AFC slot: Scott Neville - [4], [5], [6], Cy Goddard - [7]. Can't find for Paartalu, but that's probably because he's with the club since 2017, and the AFC slot is new. It will be in official lodgings, which might not necessarily be released to public. --SuperJew (talk) 17:33, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SuperJew, are you serious? Not RS and are rumour news before signing. Show me one RS where after the players signing, it says signed as AFC player. Here everything is added per RS unlike A League where I don't see any sourcing while addition of players. An dplease undo your edit as it will be considered as 3rr vio since unsourced. Drat8sub (talk) 17:53, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Drat8sub: Well, you should probably move Paartalu off the AFC slot then since it was announced anywhere as you say. It's no need for official announcement - if a player has AFC nationality, he automatically takes that slot and not a different foreigner slot. Regarding A-League, it is all sourced on the transfers page (which I see the ISL doesn't have). --SuperJew (talk) 12:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
SuperJew I respect you a lot man but I know you can scroll up 1 section from the foreign players table and see the link to List of 2020–21 Indian Super League transfers which is literally all sourced from the Indian Super League teams themselves. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 13:02, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ArsenalFan700: My bad mate. I was looking for it in the season's template. Thanks :) --SuperJew (talk) 13:21, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Went ahead and added it --SuperJew (talk) 13:23, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
By the way ArsenalFan700, I see that 91 of the sources are Twitter. Per WP:V it is preferable not to use Twitter if there is an alternative reliable source. --SuperJew (talk) 13:34, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it is mainly because sometimes the ISL website won't update till a day later and newspapers will not cover a signing. Some teams still don't have website articles like Kerala Blasters, Odisha, ATK Mohun Bagan etc. It is just easier to use the tweets as they provide the most accurate date of signing. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 14:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

(reply to SJ)We did that, check this. So, I don't know what you are saying. If you're saying about present version, then that obvious out of common sense, all other 6 players are out of Asia, only Parrtalu is Asian player, thus automatically goes there. But in case of East Bengal there is still a slot or for Mumbai City there are 2 slots still empty, and a club can have more than one Asian player. Thus either club will announce that signed as AFC player as Fatkhullo for chennaiyin or if club sign all 6 players as non Asian then automically the AFC slot goes to the signed Asian as happened in case of Parrtalu for Bangaluru. And in case of Twitter, it's not you can't use it as RS, you can if when the tweet is useful and from a verified account and these signings hardly get published by club website on time, it's always through the club's verified twitter handle or sometimes facebook page. Drat8sub (talk) 17:07, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And, this can't be an excuse for, not providing source just because another article have it. WP:V is a core content policy of wikipedia, one must always provide citations for any facts and stats in every article. The way you did not see the ISL transfer page, the same way another reader will miss the A League transfer page, and if they want to verify the players how possibly will they, the history is empty of any source. That's why sourcing in wikipedia is the first thing one must do. Drat8sub (talk) 17:27, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Drat8sub: Firstly mate you should use the template {{reply|SuperJew}} or it doesn't notify me. Secondly, regarding what you and ArsenalFan700 say about using Twitter: As I said, when there is no alternative (such as the case of the signing day) it is okay to use a tweet, but once there is an alternative (like the day after when it is published on the club's website or external media), the more verifiable reference should be used, or at least added. Thirdly, regarding the sourcing, having sources in edit summaries isn't counted as sourcing - if you really want to source on the page, you need to use reference tags for the source. --SuperJew (talk) 23:02, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Drat8sub: Forgot to answer your point re AFC slot. Okay, I'll bite: Say East Bengal or Mumbai City will sign another foreign AFC player, but don't announce which one of them is in the AFC slot, according to "obvious out of common sense" which one is the AFC slot? --SuperJew (talk) 23:05, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Drat8sub: While I'm playing this game, let's continue: Why is James Donachie listed in the AFC slot? I can't see any mention of it in the official source listed on the List of 2020–21 Indian Super League transfers page and I can't see any source at all (!) for him on the page's history. --SuperJew (talk) 23:11, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I did not ping you, just because I don't want to bother you unecessarily, since you are already replying here consecutively. My point was, it can be added as RS thus was added in the first place, I did not counter to demean your "if preferable source available" addition concept, which is obvious to be done, I just said why it was added. If preferable source available anyone could have done that, you have seen that right?, you could too. That is not time bound thing also, that tommorow a website publishes something we immediately go one update. When all the signings finishes, I think that would be a better time to change as it will be easier for anyone, less time consuming for anyone, since there are many. Ya I know for sourcing ref tag is used. Here we did not use for a reason otherwise all other sections have it. For all these players we are not gonna add a reference for each players, it will be utterly chaos and since single source is avaible for each club. We are going to add single reference of ISL website for each club where all players names will be available but the ISL website is not updated. And so we are trying to provide it in edit summary, atleast better than nothing. For AFC slot: You have answered your question with the question itself, "if club don't announce", that means we will wait for club to announce or not, because we don't know if club gonna do that or not. Rest as procedure applied here per country whichever player will be second by country will be in the AFC Slot done for ATK MB, that's last resort. To wait and not to come to conclusion hurriedly, that what common sense is. Thank you for asking, I hope you don't take previous reply personally. Drat8sub (talk) 23:48, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
RS for Donachie, FC Goa saw plenty of profiles for the Asian player but Donachie is always the top choice TOI 26 September 2020. Drat8sub (talk) 23:54, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

John Johnson has joined ATKMB in Goa as announced by ATKMB social media page, relevant link https://instagram.com/stories/atkmohunbaganfc/2423438584668669731?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igshid=13jiw441ggjpz Kadirrazvi (talk) 14:28, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting, how can the team have 8 players?? Someone must be leaving. We don't know anything from that story if joined as player as replacement or as staff. Let club announce first properly. Drat8sub (talk) 15:30, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

club can sign as many players as they want, they just can register only 7 for ISL, so ok it will be good to wait and see which 7 players they are going to register Kadirrazvi (talk) 16:31, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As many players as they want, they can, but we are talking about ISL, which allows 7. Yes, we need to wait to see which 7 they play in field and secondly unlike other players he was not announced properly, insta story having "in house", that's not convincing. It seems like ISL too confused, both "Tiri and Johnson have jersey 4", lol they too not sure, however the page is not updated. Drat8sub (talk) 16:51, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
no need to mention the unregistered players. Can be mentioned in the club's season article.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  14:17, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
At this point, Johnson is no different than a trialist and shouldn't be mentioned at all. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 14:56, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

League table

[edit]

This year, the league is divided into 3 groups, but the table is the traditional. I would suggest hiding it till FSDL announces fixture.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  14:20, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Will we have 3 separate tables this season? --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 14:57, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Then ISL will over in a month...!! Does not seem like that. Weeks ago, someone changed the I-League table into two part, reasoning it will be like Chinese League..!! No need to hide, ISL did not have any pre-announcement that the format is going to change, for which we need to wait. And if they change, it can directly be updated here. No announcement, no need to take headache. Chill !! Drat8sub (talk) 16:51, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry wrong interpretation from my side.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  14:06, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

About Shirt Sponsors

[edit]

Hello @Drat8sub: I think about shirt sponsors it is early add sponsors for FC Goa and Kerala Blasters .In the case of FC Goa Kingfisher is not a shirt sponsor or the title sponor as they kingfisher was placed at back of the Jersey. You could look this source to clarify which was of 2017 when FC goa announced kingfisher as their sponsor.[8].

For Kerala Blasters , both Hael and Skyfoam are not the title sponsors as Hael will be placed on the sleeve and Skyfoam will be on the right chest. For clarifying it you could look on this source which is about extension of Muthoot from 2018 [9].I think you got the point. Thanks WhiteFalcon1 (talk) 03:14, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The whole thing is unnecessary. Its completely WP:Fancruft, and hardly adds any encyclopedic value. Its good to mention sponsors in club articles, but how it matters in the league??  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  07:07, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm...WhiteFalcon1, can you please explain what a shirt sponsor is?? And ArnabSaha, if you think the section is so fancruft (which I don't think, fans hardly care about sponsor), you can open a thread at WP:FOOTY and achieve a consensus there, as no one added this on their wish, that simply exists here because all league articles usually have this. If you can achieve a consensus then we can remove the section. Drat8sub (talk) 07:58, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Drat8sub For Kerala Blasters shirt sponsor is called Title Sponsor and it was Muthoot for last 7 years. For example Chelsea has 3 as their shirt sponsor and shirt sponsors are placed on the centre of the kit like 3 is placed on the chelsea kit.And isl teams use different names for the sponsorship like Official sponsor , Main sponsor...etc .For every Isl clubs title sponsor is the real shirt sponsor.ThanksWhiteFalcon1 (talk) 08:04, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I simply asked, what is a shirt sponsor? I did not ask what is what for Kerala Blasters (that too unsourced claim) or for Chelsea. Simply answer the meaning of a shirt sponsor. Drat8sub (talk) 08:27, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Drat8sub Shirt /title sponsor means that the name of company which sponsors team will be placed on the center of the jersey. Thanks WhiteFalcon1 (talk) 08:37, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Center of jersey" where did you find that? Can you provide any RS? Drat8sub (talk) 08:46, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I said it in my own words as centre of jersey but I think this sources say the same thing.[10] , [11] Thanks WhiteFalcon1 (talk) 08:58, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
yeah, principal shirt sponsor and associate sponsors (in sleeves etc) aren't same. Its something like WP:SKYISBLUE. Last year ATK didnt have any shirt sponsor, so its blank  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  09:06, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That is what we don't do here "my own words" or "opinion". You claim something extraordinary "centre of jersey", you should have extraordinary source. Those sources does not say that. Shirt sponsor can be anywhere, it's sponsor on shirt, it can be sleeve, chest, back up doen bottom anywhere...etc When you encounter such situation always check other similar articles, here take example of Premier League, Laliga, Serie A etc. Drat8sub (talk) 09:21, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Proposal: it's better to have 2 columns like EPL. one for shirt sponsor, one for the sleeve, as both of them are different.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  12:21, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • What about the sponsor in the back of the jersey or on top, dump in bag???? Propose meaningful things. And when you compare for certain adoption you must see first whether the league follow the same rules as EPL. EPL have this because EPL does not allow sponsor on the back, you will not find any team having a sponsor on the back. Again, I asked to check other leagues to make you understand what a shirt sponsor is, not to copy a style which is not followed by this league. Drat8sub (talk) 14:34, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Secondly, "one for shirt sponsor, one for the sleeve" what do you mean by that ArnabSaha? All those articles telling you only one thing, any sponsor on shirt is a shirt sponsor, there is nothing called chest sponsor = shirt sponsor. And "we are not able differentiate each sponsor", WhiteFalcon, you yourself given more reason not to do segregate that. Drat8sub (talk) 14:42, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
then stick to one thing. either mention all the sponsors or just the principal one (like KIA was the principal for BFC last year, this year JSW only). And I didn't say chest/hand etc. It's a principal and associate sponsor. Kingfisher is the sponsor of Goa, but as of now, its not the shirt sponsor [12]. So, no need to mention this now, as its not there in the kit.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  15:16, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Drat8sub ,ArnabSaha sorry for the mess I created over here.So now we can stop this discussion now and let the season start then we can get idea on the shirt sponsor from team Jersey's .Meanwhile also we can find a source or an article which says about shirt sponsor. Thanks WhiteFalcon1 (talk) 15:10, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
WhiteFalcon1, nothing to be sorry for. This is a talkpage for discussion only.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  15:28, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
WhiteFalcon talk pages are discussion only, why are feeling sorry for it. I am sticking to one thing, it seems like you are little bit confused. In the starting WhiteFalcon provided citation where it can be clearly seen KingFisher is a shirt sponsor for Goa. Again associate sponsor or not, if they sponsor the jersey there is no confusion, SRMB is there in ATKMB's jersey. So where are we diverting. No where. We can wait for season for further confirmation, if what you says is really correct.Drat8sub (talk) 15:31, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah we could wait for the season to start.WhiteFalcon1 (talk) 16:39, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SaUp2014 The source for serajuddin says it as partner, and not as "Shirt Sponsor". So, don't add now. Can be added after club announces or kit launch.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  10:43, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Neville

[edit]

Why is he being removed from AFC player column repeatedly, when we have RS [13]?  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  15:22, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It has been repeatedly removed due to the reason that no one could provide a citation where it says he is the AFC player for the team. You provide citation, you are good to go. And care to read discussions already done on the topic. Drat8sub (talk) 15:40, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have read the discussion above. after that, a week has passed. And a new week = new reports/sources. Also, instead of adding a citation to it, it was just removed, which is kind of disruptive (as it goes against the ISL foreigner rule).  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  15:45, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What are you saying...the user who claimed persistently, even yesterday without any source, now being blocked because they could not provide or fail to reponse to any of the queries. Their edit has been reverted because of this. The onus is onto the user who claim something to provide source when asked, not who reverts. Why should anyone add citation for restoring. You claim something which no other RS says and if any editor ask you to provide citation, you are bound to do that or simply self revert. It's not that the editor will go on searching sources for someone else's claim. Drat8sub (talk) 15:53, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
See, I can see a related discussion in "Table order" which ended a week ago. And the recent editors of this article are mainly contributors to Indian football articles. Hardly anyone is an unknown face here. So, anyone could have done that.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  17:14, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly, anyone. But don't expect people have only one work to find a citation to prove a player is AFC player or wait for it. Drat8sub (talk) 21:05, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ya needed. Done. Drat8sub (talk) 14:30, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I only agreed to add after assuring that it could be fitted wihtout destroying structure of the article. I have fitted the map after lot of adjustment, please don't change it, otherwise it will destroy the structure, we have to remove this. And mind that you are on mobile. So, before doing such please check computer version, which is the absolute version. Drat8sub (talk) 15:24, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Drat8sub, for your kind info. edits done with mobile are tagged with "Mobile edit, Mobile web edit or Advanced mobile edit". So don't comment without knowing correctly.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  16:46, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ya I know, but I assumed you might have, because only an inexperienced editor can only avoid such a unconstructive edit if he is doing it on computer, and you are not one of them. And it's clearly seen with that edit the section is totally broken, so I thought you have done on mobile since I don't expect that from you. And both map have section end in the template and nothing else is showing in the personnel section. And don't add in use template when there is no major changes needed in that section. Drat8sub (talk) 17:05, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And if your saying that the club map is showing on the right side of the personnel section, then there is no problem in that. We always have infobox goes into history section or bacground section of some article, picture's length larger than section and goes in another section or if mutiple pictures added, just like the EB article. The only thing that should be taken care of is, if the map is added within the personnel section or not, which is simply not. So, nothing is wrongly placed here. Drat8sub (talk) 17:17, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
as an editor we know, it's not under the personnel section. but for a non-editor, the map is a mismatch. check minutely  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  17:36, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nestor

[edit]

Nester should be removed from HFC foreign players list as his name is not available in ISL website squad list [1]. To add further Goal.com reports also claims the same [2] Kadirrazvi (talk) 09:49, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removed for now, though the goal article did not convincingly produce the fact as seems assumed the player is not registered seeing the ISL website and from the fact that he was not part of the pre-season. Anyway, we will see if they play with 6 players or not. Drat8sub (talk) 14:36, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

yes, goal article is not convincing and not to be consider as reliable source, but the fact that he is not In HFC squad on ISL official website makes it clear. Glad to get the edit done, Thankyou Kadirrazvi (talk) 14:44, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ranks in Season statistics

[edit]

In the Season statistics section, many intermediate ranks are missing in different tables, just after the joint place-holders. For example, in the top-scorers table, we don't have the 2nd, 7th and 8th positions! If the 1st position is held both by Roy Krishna and Igor Angulo (as of now), then Diego Mauricio should hold the 2nd position, not the 3rd one. If you say that as in 1st position there are two players, so one position is skipped, then what's the meaning of joint place-holders? In many situations like in exam results, if the 1st position is held by 2 candidates, the consecutive position awarded is 2nd, not 3rd and so on....Laser Victor 2017 ❯❯❯ talk 12:50, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
