Atherton? LOL

[edit]

Quoting Atherton, himself known for being involved in a controversy with the umpires (to put it mildly), is just ridiculous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.101.17.102 (talk) 20:51, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ball tampering controversy in August 20062006 ball tampering controversy – More common way these are described. No other ball tampering controversies in 2006 worthy of an individual article (see Ball tampering. AIRcorn (talk) 00:36, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What's the difference between a "controversy" and a "scandal"? StAnselm (talk) 01:18, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Don't care whether controversy or scandal is used, but this involves much more than Pakistan. You could argue it is also an Australian one given Hairs is front and centre. AIRcorn (talk) 03:31, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. It seems to be standard on Wikipedia to put the date first; there's no need to include the month, and I don't think 'Pakistani' is really needed either as there's no ambiguity here. Robofish (talk) 14:13, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved as requested per the discussion below. This also allowed us to merge the page histories after an old old cut-and-paste move that wasn't discovered in the course of the previous request. Dekimasuよ! 03:17, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2006 ball tampering controversy2006 ball-tampering controversy – As per related discussion at Talk:2018 Australian ball-tampering scandal#Requested move 11 July 2018, in this instance "ball-tampering controversy" is a compound adjective and thus requires a hyphen. For this reason and consistency with the mentioned article, this one should be moved to the hyphenated name. I tried being WP:BOLD but that name has already been used and was redirected to a different location (which I have now changed to here). Spike 'em (talk) 11:14, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
