Ideas for article improvement

[edit]

It looks like there is some interest in improving this article; here are a few ideas that might help:

  • create new articles for the high schools -- Crowley HS and North Crowley HS. Move their info and infobox to the new articles, and link to the new articles from the Crowley ISD article. Add information about the schools' history, demographic information, famous alumni, etc. (Generally, high schools are notable enough to have their own articles.)
  • remove sections and infoboxes about 9th grade, middle, and intermediate campuses, leaving a list that looks like the "elementary" section. (Almost universally, schools for students younger than high school age are not notable enough to have their own articles. Directory information about their mascots, school colors, etc is rare. If anything, there may be a mention of any very prestigious national or international awards the school itself has won, or any major events at the school that received prolonged national news coverage.)
  • add the school district infobox template. Don't use every parameter, just use the ones that are most relevant to what readers need
  • add more information about the school district itself, especially it's history.
  • look for properly licensed photos that would support the article

As time allows, I may try to get some of these changes started -- but don't wait for me, and don't feel bound by these suggestions. --Hebisddave (talk) 14:11, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've just created an article for North Crowley High School, removed infoboxes for 9th, middle, and intermediate schools, and added the school district infobox. --Hebisddave (talk) 15:17, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
