I'm not entirely sure, but I think that it is no longer legal to use bovine nervous tissue in food, drugs or cosmetics in the US. Can anyone confirm that this sandwich is still available at commerical establishments? ike9898 23:26, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think I've managed to find my answer, in an AP story. See article. ike9898 13:24, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No idea why "Chesterfield, Missouri" was substituted for St. Louis in an anonymous edit over a year ago. I suspect it may have been somebody's idea of a joke - Chesterfield is an upper-class exurb of St. Louis that is the exact opposite of the kind of area where the brain sandwich was popular. I've changed it back.--97.87.87.18 (talk) 23:31, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
