Apparent contradiction

[edit]

The article states: "Although the Nazis remained the largest party they were still outnumbered by the Social Democrats and Communists." How can the largest party be outnumbered? Should this read "The Nazis remained the plurality party, but held fewer seats than the Social Democrats and Communists combined"?

Being the largest party doesn't mean it has a 50+% majority. Your example had the same meaning as the actual sentence.-- OsirisV (talk) 18:05, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Decline in Nazi vote. Why?

[edit]

The article says "Although they emerged once more as the largest party by far, they had fewer seats than before" Why did their vote decline in Nov 1932 elections? 2A02:8084:6A22:4980:3801:11B6:DB51:157A (talk) 12:12, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Color coding for Results chart is off

[edit]

I'm not sure how to fix this but I noticed that the color coding for the Results chart is off. In the key the Center Party is coded as black when the chart shows Center Party seats in yellow. And German National People's Party is coded as blue when the chart shows them in black. The same issue is apparent at July 1932 German federal election and March 1933 German federal election (maybe elsewhere too but these are the ones I checked). Does anyone know how to fix this? The first mention of Hindenburg should link to his Wiki page. Is this not standard practice? Jamesdowallen (talk) 02:35, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it should (and it should also give his full name and title (President) as currently it is oddly contextless). Feel free to add a link. Cheers, Number 57 17:02, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
