Characters section dispute

[edit]

I am going to add a Disputed tag to the Characters section of this article. After skimming through the book and going online, I do not remember or see that Archie ever talked directly to Stargirl during the events in the book. I would like to try to fix this section myself during the weekend if I find the time. If anyone else with more time would like to do it, you can use this as a source (SOURCE: 'http://www.shmoop.com/stargirl/archie-brubaker.html' ) Also, sources from the book (such quotes) can be helpful too. The Summary of this aricle is very poor and I think it needs to be redone 210.210.75.100 07:08, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. And why are there random HEY :)words floating around this article? o.o —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.135.72.3 (talk) 02:34, 8 December 2007 (UTC) This page has been vandalized. =( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.194.74 (talk) 23:09, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

[edit]

Given the outright vandalism that gets carried out on this article sometimes a number of times every day, I've completely protected it. Requests to add material or unprotect it can be made in this section.  DDStretch  (talk) 19:30, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There used to be a section called Reception which read:
Stargirl has received a lot of praise from critics. It was a New York Times Bestseller, a Parents Choice Gold Award Winner, a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, and received other numerous awards and honors; like the the Globe and Mail Reviews. Critics praise the Stargirl character, and it's overall message of nonconformity.
But somewhere along the lines someone deleted it. Do you think you could put it back in? Also, there is a film adaptation in production right now (source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0950770/ ), which should be mentioned somewhere in this article. Thanks! --Secundus Zephyrus (talk) 02:16, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

After information on the main character, Leo Borlock, the article states "When they eventually 'Cinnamon'- a friendly rat that is Stargirl's most cherished companion and sidekick". This sentence is confusing and does not appear to make sense... please explain. 74.96.4.195 (talk) 23:03, 4 June 2010 (UTC) Anonymous[reply]

Stargirl chapter summaries

[edit]

There is an article called Stargirl chapter summaries that could be merged into this one. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:37, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stargirl movie cast

[edit]

Apparently, I found some video/site thing that describes the cast for the upcoming film. It says for the cast:

Stargirl- Gemma Ward Kevin- Michael Seater Hilari- Kaylee Defer Wayne Parr- Henry Cavill Dori- Morgan York Archie- Ron Rifkin —Preceding unsigned comment added by GameGuy95 (talkcontribs) 23:32, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stargirl's real name?

[edit]

"Stargirl's real name was ashley fertago."

Someone inserted this into the middle of one of the references. I removed it, but just wanted to make sure it wasn't valuable info. Is this true? Roseclearfield (talk) 21:20, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, real name is Susan Carroway. Zotdragon (talk) 02:05, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. That was just vandalism then. Roseclearfield (talk) 18:07, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Official Page For Stargirl...?

[edit]

When I checked out StarGirl.com (as mentioned in the external links as the official page for the book), the website didn't even show the book cover. All it said was "Find a Star Girl Today". How could it be the official page if it doesn't even show the book?! 67.80.150.98 (talk) 22:47, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Guy Greco: DJ or bandleader?

[edit]

I changed "DJ" to "bandleader" in the plot summary. The novel mentions the word "band" several times, "bandstand" once, and refers to Guy Greco's "baton". All this sounds to me more like a live band than a DJ. Lee Choquette (talk) 14:32, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
