Puja Joshi or Pooja Joshi Check the spell first

[edit]

@Davey2010: Some one who is trying to edit the article is posting the details of an article named Pooja Joshi. Check all the details after personal info in that article(Pooja Joshi). Difference between Puja Joshi and Pooja Joshi is that Puja is a Gujarati television actress, while Pooja is Hindi television actress. Please mind the spelling of the name. Anyway, I'd like if the page Puja Joshi get deleted.

Do you have any evidence to suggest these 2 are completely different people as from where I'm sitting they're both one person ... Cheers, –Davey2010Talk 13:54, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Davey2010:Have a look at this links: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tv/news/gujarati/TV-selfies/photostory/46142455.cms & http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tv/news/gujarati/Pooja-Joshi-stars-along-with-Vimmy-Bhatt-in-Aa-Family-Comedy-Chhe/articleshow/45284874.cms & http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tv/news/gujarati/Prime-times-sizzling-hotties/photostory/45520563.cms For Puja Joshi (P.S. She personally writes her name as Puja), The second and third link clearly states that Aa Family Comedy Che is a Gujarati TV show. That means she is Gujarati actress. And Now check this link http://www.tellychakkar.com/tv/tv-news/pooja-joshi-love-businessman-akola for Pooja Joshi. Did you find both face similar in the photograph? or they are looking different. Now check-out the info box of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai which states the original languages of the show is Hindi.
Wow thanks for replying, There faces are very very similar but doing a comparison Pooja (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) atleast to me looks a bit older and has a bit of a chubbier face compared to the other Pooja,
Also the links you provided (and I found) are either saying Yeh.. or AA comedy - There's no news article with both programmes in so I have a feeling you're correct they are 2 different people,
Pinging Topbanana to make them aware,
Seeing as this is one big confusion maybe both articles should be deleted and completely rewritten ?, Anyway thanks, –Davey2010Talk 15:24, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
By the looks of it If they are 2 different people then from what I can make out we don't have an article on the AA Comedy actress ... We just have an article on the Yeh actress but ofcourse I could be completely wrong and they're both the same person!! ...... I'm absolutely confused . –Davey2010Talk 15:29, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Responding to ping (thanks). I have no special knowledge of this subject area, sorry. In the first instance it would be worth creating stubs containing just the fact-checked material applicable to each actress. To emphasise that they are similar but distinct people add hatnotes to each pointing to the other ({{for|the Hindi television actress|Pooja Joshi}}). - TB (talk) 07:51, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message on my user talk page. Because the edit history for articles needs to be preserved, it is almost never appropriate to copy text between articles and delete articles in order to rewrite them (there are exceptions but this does not seem to be one of them.) I suggest that you create two stubs in your sand box, one for each actress, based on reliable sources. Gossip columns and similar should be avoided as sources, and you also cannot use your own intuition - you have to have sources that clearly state that they are different people, guesswork based on touched-up photos is original research. I also notice that there doesn't seem to be any support for the spelling Puja in any of the sources. -bonadea contributions talk 06:56, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry I was unclear. I am not making any claim regarding a) whether the actresses are the same person or different people or b) what the correct spelling of the name is. I have made no research; my only concern here is to make sure that Wikipedia's policies are followed.

  • If you want to create a new article about a different person you can't start by moving content around, cutting and pasting from one version of the article to another, and then tagging articles for deletion; that destroys the edit history of the articles and is against Wikipedia policy. I have tagged Pooja Joshi for deletion for this reason. If you want to create an article about a different person you have to start with the sources (see below) and write the article in your own words, not cutting and pasting.
  • Wikipedia articles must be supported by reliable sources, and everything has to be verifiable, especially in a biography of a living person. Please familiarise yourself with those policies, and note especially that what you know personally or what you infer from looking at pictures cannot be used as a source.

Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 07:35, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I want to make it categorically clear - Please for everything that is holy don't include the facial structure comments in any article, That'd land us both in very hot water!, Bonadea is correct the 2 articles do need rewriting, Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 15:06, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Kanho Banyo Common Man.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Kanho Banyo Common Man.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
