Categories

[edit]

Hi, just a heads-up that I have nominated Category:Miss Virginia USA and Category:Miss Virginia Teen USA for deletion. You are welcome to plead your case, but in my opinion their room for expansion is far too small to justify separate categories outside Category:Miss USA delegates and Category:Miss Teen USA delegates and the winners' lists on Miss Virginia USA and Miss Virginia Teen USA. These pages link to each other adequately and as someone who has been heavily involved in editing all these pages I honestly feel that separate cats are not necessary. Apologies for removing them from the articles yesterday without putting the CFD in... meant to set that up but time got away from me and I had to go. Best of luck with your future editing... I hope you don't take this personally :) -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 22:46, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Phoebe Cates Nude Cut 1 - Fast Times At Ridgemont High.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ne1ls 00:08, 14 September 2006 (UTC) Ne1ls 00:08, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate it. I wish I could be more civil, but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. --Tecmobowl 09:45, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Original Research and Willie Mays

[edit]

Earlier you resotred some content to the Willie Mays article that is original research. Wikipedia articles cannot contain original research the policy around this is as follows: Original research is a term used in Wikipedia to refer to material that has not been published by a reliable source. It includes unpublished facts, arguments, concepts, statements, or theories, or any unpublished analysis or synthesis of published material that appears to advance a position — or which, in the words of Wikipedia's co-founder Jimbo Wales, would amount to a "novel narrative or historical interpretation.". See Wikipedia:No original research for more information. -- No Guru 15:48, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
