Hello, Buickid, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Revision3 Studios

[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you voted to keep the Systm article on Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Systm. Well, unfortunately, the article was deleted, and Systm was redirected to Kevin Rose. I recently created a new article for Revision3 Studios, the company that produces System and thebroken, and changed Systm to redirect there. Unfortunately, the Revision3 Studios article has now been nominated for deletion.

So, if you have a chance, please look at the Revision3 Studios article, and then go to Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Revision3 Studios and vote to keep it. Thanks a lot, --taestell 16:59, Jun 22, 2005 (UTC)

No offense, but I had to remove your ψ20 on Wikipedia:WikiMoney_accounts because you have not yet reached 200 edits. We eagerly await your hitting that amount to recieve your wikis, if you would like to earn wikis in teh meantime, you can go to WP:Money to find other thigns to do to earn money without having 200 edits. Blocking school IP's

[edit]

The proble with blocking schoolIP's is that they result in to much colateral damage. Most vandadlism is reverted within minutes, and if it gets to bad, we semi-protect the page so that new and IP users can not edit it. Thanks for notifying. KimvdLinde 23:49, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your VandalProof Application

[edit]

Dear Buickid,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.1 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that unfortunately you do not yet meet the 250 mainspace edit minimum - however please try again soon. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen TC (Stollery) 23:19, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About Xen

[edit]

You left this note on my talk page. I'm responding on your talk page as well to make sure you notice I've answered.

"Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content (as you did on Xen (Half-Life). Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! Steve-o 11:32, 13 June 2006 (UTC)"[reply]

I didn't wipe the entire article blank. It's still here. Your link doesn't work because you forgot the last bracket. ;) I did delete large parts of the article, though, that's right. But I had a good reason for that. See the bottom of the talk page about it. - Fyrius 11:39, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Election

[edit]

The Election Officials are getting everything together to notify candidates of what they need to do in order to confirm thier information for the upcoming election. However, counsel has advised us that under Florida law (the WMF is Florida-based) Trustees must be at least 18 years of age in order to serve. Your userpage doesn't specify an age, and we hadn't added the age field when you listed yourself, but my reading of your information (specifically the reference to high school) suggests you may be under 18. Could you confirm back to me (my talk page here on en.wiki is fine) that you're at least 18 so I'll know before we start sending out requests for confirmation of identity? #wikipedia ban

[edit]

Are you the user CableModem on freenode IRC? If so, I'd like to know why I was banned from #wikipedia. Some people on #wikimedia suggested it might've been suspecion of public logging, but I don't know what would suggest I do that other than that I had been idle for a few hours... Debolaz 13:34, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If I recall correctly, your "Real name" field of your IRC client was filled with "Killah Niggaz" or something to that sort. After all the spam and such that we get, I took it as a preventative measure. Please accept my apologies, it was with good intentions. I'd advise you to change that though, as it does look bad when you enter a channel. Let me know if you're stilled banned. --CableModem 02:46, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

While I do not expect this knowledge to be particulary usefull in the future, it may interest you to know that "Killa Hilla Niggas" is actually a rap song. Anyway, I'm back in now so thanks for getting this resolved. Debolaz 03:12, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The main drive belt died while I was on the road, causing the electrical system to go offline, including the water pump. The water inside the block and rad got very hot. I didn't realize what was going on and I was looking under the hood, and I guess the pressure from the heat got so bad that it blew up while I was leaning under the hood. Community spirit is often overlooked, and it's great to have a place to take a break from all this vandalfighting, trollblocking business, every so often. A very Californian RfA thanks from Luna Santin

[edit]
Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of (97/4/4)! I've never been able to accept compliments gracefully, and the heavy support from this outstanding community left me at a complete loss for words -- so, a very belated thank you for all of your kind words.

I have done and will continue to do the utmost to serve the community in this new capacity, wherever it may take me, and to set an example others might wish to follow in. With a little luck and a lot of advice, this may be enough. Maybe someday the enwiki admins of the future will look back and say, "Yeah, that guy was an admin." Hopefully then they don't start talking about the explosive ArbComm case I got tied into and oh what a drama that was, but we'll see, won't we?

Surely some of you have seen me in action by now; with that in mind, I openly invite and welcome any feedback here or here -- help me become the best editor and sysop I can be.

Again, thank you. –Luna Santin

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Special:WantedTemplates

[edit]

Hi, I have been cleaning up Special:WantedTemplates and noticed that Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Sub'+'st:blatantvandal is pointing to your monobook.js pages. clearly these are false positives (basically a bug in how WP parses .js pages). it would be really great if you could add
// <syntaxhighlight lang=javascript> to the top and
// </syntaxhighlight> to the bottom of those pages. by putting these tags in comments, it won't prevent the javascript from executing, but it will remove those pages from Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Sub'+'st:blatantvandal. alternatively, if you are no longer using the monobook skin (many people are using vector these days) and don't need to keep the old page, you could just have the page deleted. thank you in advance for your help.
