Hi there, thanks for fixing up the citation at Menlo Park. The anonymous user who put it there had the source and kept insisting on rewriting 'pwned' and reverting my edits, even leaving me a message on my talk page. it was so annoying b/c he kept writing pwned but still had legit content. anyway, just rambling, but thanks again for making me not the sole editor going back and forth with him! Eliz81 08:47, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome! I'm still kinda new here, but from the little experiences I'm had with anonnies, I know they can be very annoying. Dylan Bragers 08:53, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
just so you know, there are two java addons that have made my editing life a breeze... WP:TWINKLE and User:Lupin/Anti-vandal_tool. twinkle automates a lot of the tasks of reverting edits and then warning them on their user pages, and lupin's tool adds a running scroll of likely possible vandalism edits. hope this helps you in the fight against vandalism! :) Eliz81 09:23, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tip! I learned about Vandal Fighter from your userpage and am, in fact, running it right now. It's very useful in patrolling edits. I'll see about downloading those other tools as well. Dylan Bragers 09:28, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
fyi some dude named goshbee blanked your user page, i reverted it. oy! vandals. Eliz81 09:42, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Probably 'cause I reverted something he did. Yeah, I agree, they can be a real pain. Dylan Bragers 09:44, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect of Simon horn

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Simon horn, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Simon horn is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Simon horn, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Please stop the Vandalism

[edit]

Corn you are a member of the counter vandalism unit so you should know that it is bad to vandalize other people's user pages. Just thought i'd let you know. -Color-Copycat —Preceding unsigned comment added by Color-Copycat (talkcontribs) 22:27, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

i see you reverted your userpage to its original state. it was pretty funny before though. you should have left it. did you see the arthur c clarke thing at the bottom. hilarious stuff. and no im not a hypocrite because i wasimproving your userpage in order to make it relevant. -Color Copycat

You weren't "improving" it or making it funnier. Half of the userboxes you replaced mine with ("supports death penalty, "queer") don't even exist, so all that showed up was a bunch of red links. How about we both just keep our pages to ourself and actually try to improve the wiki? Stupid Corn 11:34, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur with your conjecture stupid corn. Why don't we all put this behind us and edit wiki articles? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Color-Copycat (talkcontribs) 15:27, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's with this new article

[edit]

Stupid corn what's with the Alicia Li article. It doesn't contribute to Wikipedia at all and is just wasting space that could be used for something beneficial. You know that Alicia isn't prominent enough to have a wiki article. Just because you love her doesn't mean there should be an article on her. And what's with including shayan in the article. He's done nothing to you except being fat. Just so you know you should tell the admins to delete the article. And you'd beeter because Big Brother is watching you. Vive l'empereur Napoleon III -Color Copycat —Preceding unsigned comment added by Color-Copycat (talkcontribs) 21:19, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joseph, why'd you have to go and do this? Some admin read your message and deleted the page. No one would have noticed it if you hadn't posted this. I know it doesn't contribute to Wikipedia and I know Alicia isn't notable enough for an article. But she practically forced me to make an article on her. It was really funny, by the way, and now it's gone. Now I'm really ticked off, and I'm sure Alicia will be ticked off, too. Stupid Corn

Hey, Stupid COrn I found this picture of a proposed Chinese space station. You can find it here. It's a scale model of this space station and looks like a bunch of soda cans stuck together. I think it looks hilarious -Color Copycat —Preceding comment was added at 21:30, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Academic Inquiry

[edit]

How's it going? I just wanted to ask if you're still interested in working with me for the Declaration of Independence project. If you are still available for a partner that'd be great. Please return messages to my talk page. By the way I have now endeavored to cease my accusations against Asimov. It was fun while it lasted (heh, making fun of dead russians with funny hair and glasses, and died of AIDS. So anyway let me know if you want to work with me. Response

[edit]

Why won't you partner. The project has nothing to do with political views and orientation. On the otherhand, working together will prove beneficial for both parties. I won't be a parasite so it will be mutual and no one will be stuck with all the work. Share the burden, Share the responsibility. And you know I really don't defend anyone's interests overseas. I just have to act patriotic so the government won't come after me. -COlor-COpycat —Preceding unsigned comment added by Color-Copycat (talkcontribs) 20:17, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Did yusuf really vandalize the page? When i went to check it was restored or something. Well regarding the project, I've already finished it, so there's no need for partners anymore ( though i still argue that it would have been better working together). And what's up with the phrase "intellectual equals"? I really don't like comparing intelligence or anything like that. I especially despise competitions. I get sick whenever I hear something like that. Hey check out this article and read it through. It's pretty interesting but at the same time very weird. Color-Copycat

Schimelpfenig Middle School

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Schimelpfenig Middle School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. Rjd0060 02:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Schimelpfenig Middle School, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Schimelpfenig Middle School satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Schimelpfenig Middle School and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Schimelpfenig Middle School during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Rjd0060 04:25, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of page

[edit]

Corn, you're going to need to remove the Schimelpfenig link on your userpage if the article is really being deleted. Did you eventually nominate those other articles about middle schools for deletion? If so post your reply on my talk page. Well, the pages about middle schools don't seem to matter that much anyway. It's not like anyone has to do a research project on that topic (as opposed to wind turbines and other stuff) --Color-Copycat 07:21, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikisource

[edit]

I searched on wikisource and found out they have Les Miserables there. Victor Hugo's death was more than one hundred years ago so his works are in the public domain. Are you still going to buy the book or are you just going to use wikisource? Right now I'm undecided. I'm not sure if there are different editions due to different translations or something. Anyway, the book is on wikisource if you want to check it out. --Color-Copycat 22:22, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. I think I'm going to buy the book, though. It's easier to carry around with me when I'm cramming for the test in the middle of US history. Also I can highlight and junk. I'll still use Wikisource once in a while, just because it's so cool. Stupid Corn 22:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You won't believe it. Despite that 95 on the algebra test, my average is still 97, which is what I had before the test. Not bad huh? Good thing too because if that 95 went on next grading period I wouldn't have had so many 100s to cushion it. In orchestra I checked and I got a 90 on a test, but again, I had enough 100s to cushion it so my average is still the same. So overall I've maintained 4.0 and have decisively defeated you on the academic battlefield. What have you to say to that, n00b? ( by the by, I bought Les Miserables at Barnes and Noble too) Color-Copycat 03:59, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, that article was amazingly pointless. I mean it was amazing but pointless. Did you see that awesome graphic at the top of the page? The article was super well written, but I don't get why someone would spend their time doing that kind of stuff. --Color-Copycat (talk) 21:39, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I read the wiki article about Chavez and King Juan. That's some pretty funny stuff. Understandably I was confused as to why this has become such a sensation in the Spanish speaking world, but nowhere else. And you shouldn't make it your catchphrase because I think it is copyrighted. By the way check out this weird photo about Hugo Chavez

Item# 62: A Resolution to Recycle Plastic

Synopsis: The U.S. federal government will enforce wider conservation and recycling of plastic, and industries using non-critical plastics, especially for bottled water, will reduce their reliance on plastic by developing alternatives.

Definitions: • Non-critical plastics – plastics used in a way that is not required for an item to function or for which there is a viable alternative, e.g. Polyethylene terephthalate or PET, which is commonly used in liquid containers • Viable alternatives – materials other than plastic which would function in the same way as plastic but without causing as much ecological damage • Recycling - the process of transforming used materials into new products in order to prevent the waste of materials and preserve the natural environment

1. Very little of the plastic produced and consumed in the United States is recycled, meaning that much of it is wasted. • http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,389362,00.html, July 24, 2008 According to the Beverage Marketing Corporation, Americans consumed 8.8 billion gallons of bottled water in 2007, up 6.1 percent from 2006, when the average American consumed more than 28 gallons of bottled water — the equivalent of 167 half-liter bottles. 8 out of 10 of those water bottles wind up in landfills instead of recycling bins, and it can take 700 years before they begin to decompose. • http://www.designboom.com/eng/education/pet/recycling.html Only about 3.5 % of the plastics produced are recycled, compared with 34% of paper, 22% of glass and 30% of metals. PET plastics, which are commonly used in soda bottles, represent 44% of plastic bottle production, yet they are only recycled 25% of the time.

Speedy deletion nomination of Nilla

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nilla, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Dysklyver 21:17, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Nilla for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Nilla is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nilla (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Dysklyver 22:19, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
