China

[edit]

I am happy to discuss these points, but get tired of reverting, let's come to a conclusion before we revert our points again. I am changing them to what they were before the dispute due to the fact that those points have been accepted for many months. I have noticed this user and am spending my time reverting his edits onto Potential Superpower - India, from my Point of View he is very against India, deleting simple and acceptable points like 'Economic Growth' and 'Benign'.

India

[edit]

I disagree with your views on this topic but wish to discuss in a similar way to the China discussion before making unnecessary reverts. Please see the talk page.Nobleeagle 06:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About your comments on that talk page. Please read the article What Wikipedia is NOT. Wikipedia is not debate forum for you to offer your political commentary on world events, it is an unbiased resource. Please treat it as such. Thank you. Kevlar67 06:40, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tibet

[edit]

Well, I think that's kinda rare in most pages, and it's already wikified in the first place. But I guess that's ok. —Khoikhoi 03:41, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're right—as much as I want "Tibet" to most commonly refer to the historical/cultural region, most news sources will talk about Tibet and then show a map of the TAR. They seem to ignore the fact that Qinghai and western Sichuan are still mostly Tibetan-inhabited (but not for long if current trends continue). Oh well. —Khoikhoi 03:56, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In regards to this edit, are you sure the TAR accounts for most of historic Tibet? If you look at the map, it looks about 50/50. —Khoikhoi 09:16, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! Historic Tibet is basically the Tibetan Plateau, more or less. —Khoikhoi 09:20, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flood in Chinese Characters

[edit]

Thanks for informing me. I've voted. And yes this boat = ark thing is just the tip of an iceberg. The original publication had lots of other examples shoehorning Christian doctrine into Chinese characters. In short none of them have any basis. --Yenchin 23:19, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

“South Tibet”

I've nominated the article on “South Tibet” for deletion. Please have another look at the discussion on that article. —Babelfisch 08:38, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:RMB1 coin 2005.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:RMB1 coin 2005.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SSE ICBC IPO 102006.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SSE ICBC IPO 102006.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:57, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Karakorum operators1.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:56, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
