Just to let you know I've removed the prod on Anarchy Rulz. I've managed to find reliable sources that I've added to the article and will wikify them fully in the next few days. Having said that, the article is ripe for cleanup. Many thanks, GazimoffWriteRead01:15, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Newsletter
The newsletter was supposed to go out yesterday. I was just wondering if you had forgotten when you were online this morning? ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 17:22, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
The number of stub articles has decreased to its lowest level since the project began its focus on improving them. The goal is to get the number below 600, and we're getting close. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
Based on the active members list, there are currently 37 members currently active in WikiProject Professional wrestling.
NOTICE: If you are actively editing and contributing to articles under the scope of WikiProject Professional Wrestling, we suggest you add your name to the list of active members.
Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 17:55, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Ah, yeah, I forgot. As for the other thing, is it the real thing, or the "imposter"? BTW, I've alerted Alison about it. D.M.N. (talk) 21:10, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Yup. His last edit was on 31st May to Alison's userpage, and hasn't edited since, while the other user has really picked up in the past few days. D.M.N. (talk) 21:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll let Alison run CheckUser before digging further into speculation. I think it's for the best. D.M.N. (talk) 21:37, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I see what you mean. However, even if it isn't, this user needs to be watched, just because he's a bit too _____. I can't think of a word; the only thing that seems to fit is jumpy :P. I'll keep an eye on him. Cheers, The Hybrid01:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, um, I have, um, reasons... to be, um, skeptical 0_o. He may just be a fiery new user with many misconceptions, like I - was... Anyway, if he tries to model himself after Lid and Mshake there shouldn't be a problem. Cheers, The Hybrid10:53, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
To any thinking person he would appear to be a blatant sock, I agree, but I have access to some information that you don't. However, do go ahead and contact Alison; my information may be sketchy in this case. It'd probably be better for you to contact her, than if I did. Cheers, The Hybrid11:01, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Good. If it is HMan related, it is one of the impostors, I'm sure. I have reason to believe that the actual HMan is not in control of the account. However, there is also some reason to doubt the validity of the information. I have access to more information as it relates to HMan than most of the community, bulletproof and Alison being the exceptions, but it has proven to be a double-edged sword. Cheers, The Hybrid11:07, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, we need to let Alison do her thing. HMan is through until he requests an unban in the future. The impostors are the ones that we need to look out for. However, I don't think SChaos is Steelerfan; his socks were just blatant joke accounts. They weren't actual imitations of his behavior. This is probably our second sockmaster, or it is just someone who happens to act like HMan. Cheers, The Hybrid11:18, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Good luck, I'll use my psychic powers to give you the answers. Let me know how you think you did when you get back. Cheers, The Hybrid11:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
RE: Banner
Sure! The only thing is I'll probably have to use stickmen for the illustration, as most wrestling pics are copyrighted. What colours would you like in terms of text and such? Red and gray? Master of PuppetsCall me MoP! :)04:44, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Hello. I believe I have met your challenge to review 10 articles at WP:GAN. I will also be working to meet a couple other of your challenges. Thank you! --Eustress (talk) 22:04, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, sorry. clicked the wrong link. I was going for undo. SexySeaBassist 15:29, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
well, can't always get it right. I actually got it to use huggle anyway. it is AWESOME!!!! SexySeaBassist 15:33, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the note on my talk page - I figured it would be something along those lines. Best, Gwernol01:01, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that thing is too powerful for its own good. I'm no stranger to powerful RCP tools, but this thing is just crazy. I've already made several mistakes due to how fast it gets going when I'm not careful. That thing is crazy. Cheers, The Hybrid02:30, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
There was a section about Sex Offenders in Piggott, Arkansas that was reverted by you. Was it not up to Wiki standards? Is there a precedent for not including sex offender information in for small towns? It was posted as a matter of public knowledge and record which is a civic and public service and had accurate references to match the info. Team4Technologies (talk) 02:27, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
My Contributions
I know I focus as lot on my userspaces, but if you've read my userpage lately, you'll see that I put a note saying that someone else has been signing in as me. I don't know who it is, or how they did it, but he/she/they did. By the way, I talked to WikiEditor222/SexySeaClownfish, and he is not I'm On Base. So, since I think you are an admin, I request you unblock him. SAVIOR_SELF.77707:06, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
He is not an admin, SRS. Also, if your account is being hacked, you should contact User:Alison; she can determine if it is another editor, and even if it isn't she can block the hacker's IP address. BTW, no matter what WikiEditor claims, he is I'm On Base. It is blatantly obvious from a contributions check. Cheers, The Hybrid07:16, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
That may be a problem, because I think it may be more than one IP adress. If not, more than one person. By the way, I thought iMatt was an admin because he was admin coaching. I noticed it when he had the "King iMatthew 2008" sig. SAVIOR_SELF.77707:22, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Easy mistake to make as far as the admin bit is concerned. He's basically in AP Adopt-a-User :P. Instead of seeking to establish himself, he's seeking the admin position. Anyways, Alison can determine all of that through checkuser, and deal with the problem no matter how many people are hacking you. I don't think you realize how powerful of a tool checkuser is. It used to be exclusive to BCrats, let's put it that way. Cheers, The Hybrid08:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Heh, yeah, I've figured out that you have to actually read every edit you plan on reverting before you do so, or else you'll get too trigger happy. Anyways, yeah, all that we need to make our little team completely unstoppable is bulletproof. You haven't lived until you've seen him in action. Of course, we owe Alison a huge debt of gratitude. Without her, well, yeah. I think that I'll give her a barnstar. Cheers, The Hybrid11:53, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Re:
Hmm, which one do you think would be most appropriate, an is there anything you'd like to put into the message? We can co-write it. Cheers, The Hybrid11:55, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Absolutely, I'd love to co-nominate you. LAX would also be a great third nominator (any more than three is pushing it, IMO). But yeah, of course I'll co-nominate you. Cheers, The Hybrid12:04, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
I couldn't help but notice the comment on Hybrid's talkpage. You co-nom my RFA, and I co-nom your RFA, hey?! D.M.N. (talk) 12:05, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Eh, four isn't too much ;). Anyways, I have just hung up the phone, and I must now go over to my brother's house for breakfast. Neither of us could sleep all night; it's like five in the freakin' morning here. Anyways, I will write that barnstar when I get back on next. Cheers, The Hybrid12:10, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
You don't care if I write the star tomorrow, do you? Anyways, having his page deleted is a possibility, but it seems rather arbitrary to me. It might buy us an extra day before having him blocked, if anything. Cheers, The Hybrid04:36, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

There are currently 4,266 Good Articles listed at WP:GA.
The backlog at Good Article Nominations is 157 unreviewed articles. Out of 215 total nominations, 44 are on hold, 13 are under review, and one is seeking a second opinion. Please go to WP:GAN and review an article or three as soon as you have a chance!
The categories with the largest backlogs are: Theatre, film and drama (31), Sports and recreation (31), Transport (24), Music (13), and Art and architecture (11)
The GA Sweeps process is progressing nicely! During the month of May, a total of 82 articles were reviewed. Of that total, 71 were found to continue to meet the GA criteria, and 11 were delisted. There are currently 15 articles that are still on hold in this process, awaiting revisions.
We are once again recruiting new sweeps participants. Candidates should be very strong and comfortable in reviewing GA and familiar with the GA processes and criteria. If you are interested, please contact OhanaUnited for details.
GAN Reviewer of the Month
Giggy (talk·contribs) (a.k.a. Dihydrogen Monoxide (talk·contribs)) is the GAN Reviewer of the Month for May, based on the assessments made by Dr. Cash on the number and thoroughness of the reviews made by individual reviewers each week. Giggy had a whopping 45 reviews during the month of May! Congratulations to Giggy (talk·contribs) on being May's GAN Reviewer of the Month!
Other outstanding reviewers during the month of May include:
This WikiProject, and the Good Article program as a whole, would not be where it is today without each and every one of its members! Thank you to all!
New GA Review Process - Review Subpages
In case you haven't noticed, we initiated a new process for GA Reviews at the end of last month. The {{GA nominee}} template was modified to direct new reviews initiated on an article to begin on a subpage of article talkspace (e.g. [[Talk:Article/GA#]], where '#' is the current number of GA reviews conducted for the article, incremented automatically, starting with 1). The primary reason for this change is to address some concerns made by several Wikipedians that previous GA reviews are not easily accessible in archives, the way that featured article reviews and peer reviews are, since the review is conducted on the article's talkspace, instead of in a subpage of the featured article space or peer review space. The reason we opted to move GA reviews to article talkspace (instead of GA space) is to better maintain the personal relationship between editor(s) and reviewer(s) by keeping reviews done in an area where editors can easily access it. Nonetheless, we still desired to have better archiving and maintenance of past reviews, so that GA ultimately becomes more accountable.
When an article is nominated, the nominator adds the template using a substitution, by adding {{subst:GAN|subtopic=<name of subtopic for article at GAN>}}, as well as lists the article (as usual) at WP:GAN in the appropriate category.
When a reviewer initiates a review of an article, all that needs to be done is to read the template on the article's {{GA nominee}} template on its talk page, and click on the link to start the review. When the reviewer clicks on that link, they will also see some instructions on how to start a review of a GAN. For new reviewers, there's also a link to the Good Article criteria, as well as to the Wikipedia:Reviewing good articles page and the mentors list. Once an article is reviewed, the GA review page should be transcluded onto the main article talk page, by adding {{Talk:Article/GA#}} to the bottom of the talk page. This is to ensure maintain the transparency of the GA process, as well as to make editors of the article in question aware that the review is taking place. When an article is either passed or failed, there's really nothing different to do in the process, although reviewers are encouraged to utilize the {{ArticleHistory}} template, linking to the GA review subpage with the 'action#link' parameter.
Thanks. That might have been the more obvious evidence from the start. I've sent him an e-mail regarding the issue. Hopefully, he'll listen. Hey, it just came to me: this guy reminds me of Hornetman16. Could be Wiki-brothers or something. :) TheChronicX15:11, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Oh, my IP address recently switched to one that was blocked (for nearly a year and a half) for WP:TOR, and so my account was autoblocked as well. No faults. [3]TheChronicX22:05, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
regarding userbox for deletion
iMatthew, have all the editors from the "Kliq" agreed to disband? If so, I'll speedy delete the userbox as originally requested, and close the MFD. Let me know. Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer20:58, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
No problem. I guess I'll find someone else. I choose you because you seem to know what you're doing. I have no idea how to get it to GA status. But it is no problem.WillC01:27, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
I did sign up after you said no the first time... I guess I should've mentioned that. Also, I'm pretty sure that you were talking about Burger King legal issues when you said that my reviews were incomplete. Pray excuse my mistake on that one, I didn't have time to fully review it and I forgot abou it. It's been fixed though. LimetolimeI want an award!•look what I did!01:33, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Look, man, I was expressing my opinion. I know I was WAY out of line, but I was angry for being called a liar. But, anyway, I know someone's somehow using my name, but I guess I'll just have to deal with Alison's conclusion. Again, sorry. Whether or not you have your name under WikiFriends won't matter. If you want, put it back on, even though I really doubt you will.
Peace out and Sorry :-) By the way, do NOT see my YouTube page! SAVIOR_SELF.77703:26, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I had already seen that. It's grounds for an indefinite block, but I don't have any intentions of pursuing it, personally. Cheers, The Hybrid10:47, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Matt, please don't work on the GA review for One Night Stand. I'll work on it a little later today when I have some time. Thanks, –LAX15:02, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Reminder
Hi iMatthew, I just wanted to remind you that I have completed the challenge you posted, and I signed up for, of putting an infobox in 25 articles. The list of articles is posted above, but because I have had no reply I thought I would remind you, and inquire if I was eligible for the barnstar. Thanks, Abraham, B.S. Hi
I know we kinda had a Rated RKO vs D-X thing between us in recent history... But I would like to ask you this: How are you doing? I am good and would like to say, you are a very profound contributer to the encyclopedia, and a good person. I am sorry for the trouble my ignorance may have caused you in may. Re: You might want to...
Thanks for that. Jesus Christ, though, why would he do that? Some people do weird things for kicks/entertainment. Did I miss more crazy things? I had to go away suddenly, hence the non-reply to your earlier message and I missed drama! Same as what happened last time! ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 12:19, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm not going to be very active until Wednesday; I'm going on a camping trip with friends later today and won't be back until then. I can do it then, if you'd like. And I don't need payment! That reminds me of bribery. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 12:44, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
What's it to you? :P I'm still editing, just not as much. Hell, I might remove it later. Not had a good afternoon here on Wiki; don't ask why. D.M.N. (talk) 17:19, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
First of all, I'm trying to find out what he's catching on to. Second of all, why don't you just get off my back? I know he's I'm on Base and I know he's blocked! Third of all, RESPECT MY PRIVACY! I'm not talking about I'm on Base anymore. SAVIOR_SELF.77700:37, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
<sigh>.....OKAY, seeing that I can't get the monkey off my back, I'm just ignoring it. Besides, there's ONE thing you need to realize, not everyone is perfect like you, especially me. I'll sse what I'll edit in the mainspace in two days. I'll try to clean up my act. SAVIOR_SELF.77700:58, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Re: Newsletter
Not really, no. I suppose McMahon's Million Dollar Mania would be one, and James Yun's suspension would be another. No championships have changed hands in WWE, TNA or ROH, so as far as I can think, that's the only major news in the last three weeks. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 00:48, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Also, McMahon was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Promax|BDA Conference for "for his remarkable accomplishments and innovations in global marketing, advertising and promotion." (direct quotes from WWE.com). ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 00:51, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
A pay-per-view event chronology has been added as a feature to the Wrestling event infobox, please assist the project in adding this feature to professional wrestling pay-per-view event articles.
The C-Class rating has been introduced. The rating falls between articles that are more than Start class, but less than B-Class.
Vince McMahon was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Promax|BDA Conference for "for his remarkable accomplishments and innovations in global marketing, advertising and promotion."
WWE is currently holding "Million Dollar Mania", where they give out prize money totalling $1 million on Raw to viewers watching the show at home.
Woops, my fault. I didn't know you were there too. How about you get all the odd numbered picks, and I get the even ones?--SRX--LatinoHeat00:17, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Kool. This is kinda fun. Oh, if its not a regular one on one match, write the type of match it was contested in.--SRX--LatinoHeat00:35, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
When Edge and Matt Hardy came back, they interfered in matches, and were immediately reactivated.
Rey Mysterio comes into the ring after a long absence, gets drafted to Raw, and shakes HHH's hand, that somehow is different.
I don't get it.
And if you're gonna deactivate Ashley, why not also deactivate DH Smith, Val Venis, The Highlanders, Super Crazy? We hadn't seen them in forever either.
I'd just like concrete proof as to why so and so hasn't been wrestling.
Like I said before, the best way to think of the WWE roster is like that of an NBA roster.
Some guys hardly ever get off the bench, but they're still part of the team.
I would just prefer to see something concrete as to why someone should be taken off the active list rather than people just arbitrarily removing them.
To new and even more interesting projects, of course!
As announced in the newsletter, I've been preparing to co-coordinate a large collaboration/competition called Around the World. It was going to be run at the Awards Center, but since that no longer exists, the collaboration will be hosted somewhere else.
Around the World will begin July 15th as planned - it's location will be announced soon.
It'll be a blast. In the competition, participants will be helping to develop over 200 pages (drafts, which will be moved to article space once they are ready), using advanced tools to edit every single one of them!
This is going to be interesting.
And the event shall have awards which are being created specifically for it as we speak!
If you would like me to keep you informed of this and other interesting collaborations I'll be working on and/or organizing in the future, please drop me a note on my talk page, and I'll be happy to keep you in the know.
If you are stuck on a place to put the your contest, it would be cool to put it on a subpage. I'd love to help you with it, in fact, if you want, we can host it at User:IMatthew/Around the World. =] Anyway, leave me a note if you'd like any help with it. -- iMatthewT.C.21:55, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for the offer. The location is taken care of, but hasn't been announced yet in case we find an even better alternative. By the way, would you like me to keep you informed about Around the World and future projects? The Transhumanist21:59, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
The contest will be posted on July 15th. There isn't any centralized page where the contest is being prepared. It's all over the place! :) The Transhumanist22:48, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
What I really need your help on is...
The awards
We could use some fresh input on the awards being designed for Around the World. That part of the project needs someone to break the ice. Take a look at what we've done so far on Penubag's talk page.
No experience is necessary. Just imagination and a willingness to learn software programs. I've been learning how to use The GIMP while working on this project (it's powerful and it's free!), and have been looking for others who want to get their feet wet too.
Don't be intimidated. I thought the program was a monster, before I finally started tinkering with it. It quickly started to make sense. Cool program. And fun to use.
So, if you're interested in helping out, drop by Penubag's and let's get this show back on the road!
I see, I think that maybe I can get the page started. I can format the page, add all of the info, and getting the page ready. I don't really want to work on the barnstars, but I'm willing to do anything else. -- iMatthewT.C.22:51, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
It's a contest, not a page per se. ;) The event will be announced and the instructions posted on the relevant WikiProject pages. There's no need to design a page for it - that's already being taken care of. The Transhumanist22:58, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
The participants will be developing a set of pages (all of them, all at once - that is, everyone will be working on every page). This will be as "beehive" as you can get. There will be one page for every country of the World. Now you know where the name of the contest comes from. ;) Each page will be a detailed profile on a country, presented as a topic outline, which will include links to Wikipedia's coverage of that country. Each profile will include maps and pictures, a lead section, an external links section, and plenty of internal links. We're working on the prototypes now, and draft pages have been set up for all the rest.
But the page names leave something to be desired. I've been working on remedying that problem, but you know how slow Wikipedia's proposal process can be.
If you'd like to get involved in the nitty gritty of this project, see the discussion threads on Malinaccier's talk page. I look forward to your input there.
When ever you decide to come back, since you're suppose to be on a break. Would you mind reviewing Lockdown 2008. It isn't in the article yet. It is in my sandbox but just to know I have someone else to review it for me. I want to make sure I have all the problems fixed before I place it in the article and start the nomination process for GA status.--WillC23:18, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi iMatthew. I've semi'd the article for three days. I know that's shorter than the week originally asked for, but I think it should increase in stages. Hopefully the page edits will die down after then, but if not, relist or request on my talk page. Best, PeterSymonds(talk)19:47, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
RE: Where did you go?
If you're talking about the vacation template I had on my page last week, I was touring New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Williamsburg as part of an end-of-the-year class trip. If you're talking about the current template I have on my userpage, it's because I 'll be inactive from Wikipedia. I've lost my will to edit, but that doesn't mean I'm completely gone (I may come back full time in the future). I'll still check my messages regularly. That's all.
