Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Jing22. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Digipas Usa, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Lemongirl942 (talk) 02:05, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jing22. If you don't mind could you let us know if you are in anyway related to Digipas USA LLC or JSB Tech Pte Ltd? (Employee/owner/intern/client/business partner etc.) --Lemongirl942 (talk) 05:38, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I'm related to JSB Tech. Jing22 (talk) 02:06, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you for letting us know. I will briefly explain about the recommended practice for article creation and editing if you have a COI. If you want to create an article, then the suggested way is to create a draft (you can edit the draft, that is OK) and then submit it at AfC where other editors can review it. (Please do not move it to article space yourself, but wait for one of the reviewers to do it). Once the article has been accepted and moved to mainspace, it is recommended that you do not edit it yourself. However, you can request edits on the talk page of the article and someone will respond. If you need any help, you can also post at WP:COIN. Thank you. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 05:26, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Premature promotion of draft

[edit]

You were absolutely correct to follow the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process for the Digipas Usa article, especially since there are unresolved questions about your association with this company which can lead to a conflict of interest. However, removing my and other reviewers' comments with concerns about the article and promoting the article into the main space was premature. Please don't do this in the future.

The AFC process ensures that the article is ready for the main space and is not simply deleted soon after creation. Currently the article is [considered for deletion]. Consider adding your thoughts on why you feel the article should remain. Arguments made in reference to Wikipedia policy and guidelines like WP: CORP will go a long way.--RadioFan (talk) 13:22, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
