Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Faizul Mahi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Feni (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Potential contributions

[edit]

Hi there. It's pleasing to see your many contributions on matters related to 1971. Given your latest additions to the Sufia Kamal page, I wondered if you would be able to create an article on the sangeet academy Chhayanaut, of which I think Sufia Kamal is one of the founders? Chhayanaut of course holds a very prominent position in the history of our nationalist movement, and continues to be one of the seminal cultural academies of the country.--Bazaan (talk) 13:00, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bazaan, Thanks for your comment. You are right, Sufia Kamal is one of the founders of Chhayanaut and Chhayanaut deserves an entry. I am putting it on my list. --Kaisernahid (talk) 18:16, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Manisha Chakraborty, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Dear Kaisernahid, we don't have articles on candidates. If she is elected, please feel free to recreate the article. Please read our notability guidelines to understand what articles are considered notable.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 17:33, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Vinegarymass911, I believe each article has to be judged on a case by case basis. If you have read Bangladeshi newspapers in recent years and if you are really neutral, then you should already have some idea about the election engineering in Bangladesh. On this ground, I disagree to the part that one politician has to be elected to be considered notable. In general, we cannot have articles about non-elected candidates because those candidates will not get significant coverage in mainstream news media anyway. On the other hand, for the said article, I have included enough references from all the major newspapers in Bangladesh to prove the coverage. I agree that the language or point of view of the article could be improved to make it look non-promotional. But that is an ongoing work and if the said article was not deleted, then other volunteers could have edited the article! --Kaisernahid (talk) 22:33, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There is no mention of "when" this subject occurs anywhere in the lede. You know when and how recent, but a large number of readers won't have any idea. You know this is current, this year, but this might be ancient history. Can you add something to the lede to help orient readers? Shenme (talk) 02:07, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Shenme! I have added the year now. Actually, I also had an infobox with all the details. Someone removed that infobox and now the article without any timeline looks more odd than before.--Kaisernahid (talk) 03:41, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Bangladesh Drug War

[edit]

On 8 September 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bangladesh Drug War, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in most of the killings of the Bangladesh Drug War the victims were shot at night, and weapons and drugs were found near the bodies? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bangladesh Drug War. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Bangladesh Drug War), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Murder of Engineer Delwoar, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gopalganj and Anti-Corruption Commission (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Rozina Islam

[edit]

@Kaisernahid, Hi! Thanks for your contribution to the article, Arrest of Rozina Islam. I've noticed you have added a sub section without adequate citations to backup the claims. While they are currently live, there might get reverted any moment as they are unreferenced. It would be much better if you can provide with citations for each of these award claims. Thanks. NB: Please be sensitive about your words choice on such controversial article like this. Make sure whataver you add stays unibiased. Also, avoid using puffery words, i.e., you used "she won many national and international awards," rather use word like "several." I've already done that. -- Tame (talk) 06:37, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Tame the citation was added right after the last award, if you kindly take the time to visit the citation link, then you will be able to see the reference for all the awards in that same link. I have no objection against 'several' even though Deutsche Welle actually used the term "অসংখ্য পুরস্কার" which means "Many awards" in English. If you need help with Bengali language, I will try to send you some references. Furthermore, DW is a third party source. So, please enlighten me if I am missing anything here. Thanks! -- Kaisernahid (talk) 06:51, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Kaisernahid, after checking out the source, and translating the page, now it seems that adding the citations after the last award was the reason behind my inadequate citation objection. I've replaced the citation after the "Her notable awards [sic] are:[ref]." Now this will give an idea to other users or readers that this citation might cover all the data's inserted below this line. Thanks for contribution tho, peace! Btw I've noticed a Bengali archer Diya Siddique has recently received some substantial amount of media coverage, both national and international. While her partner Ruman Shana already is on WIkipedia in multiple languages, there's no page for her. As a,n ardent member and contributor of the Wikiproject Women In Red, I tend to create articles on women, but I couldn't find that much of info (i.e., birth dates, birth place, how did she start her career, etc.) to start with her article. If you can find some in your language, then definitely hit me up. -- Tame (talk) 07:01, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure @Tame, will add Diya Siddique to my TODO list. -- Kaisernahid (talk) 07:09, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Tame, a leading Bengali daily published a feature on Diya Siddique here, let me know if you have difficulty with the English translation. -- Kaisernahid (talk) 05:08, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Kaisernahid, thanks for the heads up, I will definitely work on that article in future. -- Tame (talk) 11:39, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
