Speedy deletion of Template:Lost policy

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Lost policy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. Badger Drink (talk) 22:39, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Saudi Kings has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. — This, that, and the other (talk) 06:54, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Starting XI

[edit]

You're right, that section is strictly speculative until the first leg of the Supercopa, but keeping in line with the quality FC Barcelona season page, I included it. If anything, the section will attract frequent IP edits, making it a nice promotional tool for the page's hit count. But feel free to clear it until the Supercopa if you don't feel the section adheres to Wikipedia standards. Xboxandhalo2 (talk) 02:52, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Rabeh Sager for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Rabeh Sager is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rabeh Sager until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Epeefleche (talk) 23:53, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

June 2011

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Ruud van Nistelrooy, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 14:26, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I have updated the article with the required sources. --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 16:04, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please be aware of the difference between "Malaga are poised to sign" (as the source says) and "Van Nistelrooy plays for Malaga". Even if a player arrives somewhere to sign, there is no guarantee that the contract will be signed (see for example Demba Ba who already arrived in Stoke-on-Trent last winter but failed the medical). Additionally, even if Van Nistelrooy signs, his current club will be Hamburger SV until his contract ends, which is on 30 June 2011. --Jaellee (talk) 16:14, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, then we should wait until the signature is official (and the transfer window is open). Thanks! --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 16:17, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copa del rey

[edit]

Hello! For some odd reason the RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) has a rule that if seven Spanish teams play in Europe, then the number of teams must be the same as last year's edition (which was 83). Therefore what they have done is that in Segunda División B the first five non-reserve teams from each group qualify as always, but then the other five best teams out of the remaining groups qualify too (it's been the best four remaining teams in the past years). It is, however, still unclear. I will carry on investigating but as far as I am aware of, there are going to be 83 teams this season. We will see. Thank you for asking, my friend! Salam, I looked at the article, this is the first time I hear about the player, anyways, I think his page is OK. I don't translate from the Arabic wiki anyways. --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 07:14, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Real Madrid transfers

[edit]

Hi, transfers in and out of Real Madrid are frequently reported and speculated by world media, but please do not add them to the season page until they become official and finalized. Newspapers such as Marca are ok for verifiability, but to maintain reliability and NPOV in this case, please wait until a club announces a transfer on their official website.

Also Pablo Sarabia was technically a Castilla player as he was never promoted to the first team, so his transfer is listed under Real_Madrid_Castilla#2011.E2.80.9412_Transfers. Thanks! Bobby (talk) 15:13, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, but what about Garay? I believe there was an agreement... --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 01:09, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Garay appears to have agreed personal terms with Benfica, but vitally, neither RM, Benfica, nor a reliable source have officially announced his xfer. The only source that announces a finalized agreement between the clubs I have found is Marca's, but they pretty much fail every part of WP:QS when dealing with RM. Until an announcement is made by either club we cannot list him as an outgoing player as he still belongs to RM. Bobby (talk) 07:45, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Dammam3.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Dammam3.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 20:13, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: This image has no encyclopedic use. It doesn't inform or show anything useful for the article used in. How does the image show new tactical defending feature when it's a screenshot of a reply camera and not an actual screenshot of gameplay in action? The image isn't related in anyway to it's description.

If you really want to show the new tactical defending feature, inform people by uploading an actual screenshot of gameplay in action. Thank you.

Delete it. --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 01:55, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Muhaidib-tech-logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, N0time. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
