Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, PantherLoop, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Kim Hnizdo, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! RA0808 talkcontribs 16:14, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kim Hnizdo has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited America's Next Top Model (cycle 8), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shannon Stewart. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Top Model does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Judging by your contributions, you have not yet used one. Please start. Thank you. Linguist If you reply here, please add {{ping|Linguist111}} to your message 21:23, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya again. I just wanted to point out something about the sandbox as I think I now know what Linguist was talking about in regards to it. This edit where you added a ninth column to the table before the ninth episode came out, I think Linguist was pointing you to the sandbox for working on the table. It might be useful to use your sandbox for those kinds of edits so that the table is ready to be moved over once the new episode is out. The reason for this is simple, it keeps the article looking nice and neat, but, also keeps updates ready for when the time comes. I do this when working on infoboxes; draw it up in my sandbox and then put the updates into the article. I do this because I always make an error somewhere that breaks the infobox. I don't watch the "next top model" shows, but, I presume new episodes come out each week? in which case you could have a copy of the table in your sandbox and update it each week to place into the article. That said, it looks like this sort of one empty column in the table is a not uncommon practice for the article. Not everyone is great at working around wikimarkup, so I'm guessing that's done to assist newbie editors in contributing without having to work on the table itself. Hope that helps. Cheers, Mr rnddude (talk) 18:34, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Colombia's Next Top Model (cycle 3)

[edit]

Hi, I'm Winged Blades of Godric. PantherLoop, thanks for creating Colombia's Next Top Model (cycle 3)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Too detailed and non-focused to be encyclopaedic.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Winged Blades Godric 11:21, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Caribbean's Next Top Model (cycle 3) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG.Too detailed.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at User:PantherLoop. Hoaxes are eligible for speedy deletion under criterion G3. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia — and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Your userpage

PantherLoop, is the material on your page intended to be used for a Wikipedia article? If so, either use it or leave the page blank, as it is at this moment. A tag has been placed on User:PantherLoop requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your contributions to Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello PantherLoop,

I'd like to say that I'm sorry if I've been too harsh on you. I promise that, in the future, if I disagree with one of your edits, I will leave you a handwritten message instead of the template messages I have been leaving you. If you would like me to refrain from leaving you messages, please let me know and I will do so. I would like to say that I appreciate your contributions to the Top Model articles. While I may not agree with every edit you've ever made, I'm assuming that you have been editing in good faith. I'd like to give you a little bit of advice on some basic rules you may not have understood:

  • Edit summaries - it is not compulsory to use edit summaries, but it is good practice to do so, as it helps other users to understand the intention of your edits when they view a page's history.

If you are finding the language barrier difficult, you might prefer to contribute to the German Wikipedia instead. You are welcome to continue to contribute to the English Wikipedia, but it is important to understand what editing Wikipedia entails. If you fail to do so, you may be blocked from editing. This is not done to punish you, but rather to prevent problems. Please note that I am not an administrator, and therefore I cannot block you myself. Bishonen, however, is. I hope you decide to follow this advice and continue to contribute to Wikipedia.
