For the advice to the students here. Perhaps you'd like to add it to the other articles of this educational assignment? More than one group can benefit from your insights. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:05, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm finished with your assignments you left on the talk page... --TIAYN (talk) 20:44, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 Done --TIAYN (talk) 15:12, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really understand what you are getting at with reference problems on the Evan Lorne, John Doggett and "Sleepless" page, can you please clearify? --TIAYN (talk) 20:18, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Finished with:
 Done Evan Lorne
 Done Aiden Ford
Okay... I've think i fixed those problems on those two pages above... (fixed the last reference problem on the Evan Lorne page) --TIAYN (talk) 21:07, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Have you passed the Evan Lorne article? Or am i wrong following my instincts when it comes to this comment: "Reviewing and passing?" --TIAYN (talk) 23:18, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No. Sorry should have put a better comment, it's standard practice to have the article "On Hold" for a week if it all checks out, I'll start near-final reviews now.Sanguis Sanies (talk) 06:01, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Finished with:
 Done John Doggett
Done "Sleepless" (most of the work was done by Quiddity99)
--TIAYN (talk) 07:09, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just to be sure, are their any more existing problems on the my GA nominations, and when will they be approved? --TIAYN (talk) 17:22, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! --TIAYN (talk) 21:24, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas & Thank You

Thanks for the "Welcome to Wikipedia". I was wondering when I would get 'official' notice. Sorry for taking time to get back to you. Apparently though, I have been here slightly longer than yourself (at least as Sanguis), started editing Sept 11 2009. My IP seems to be totally fixed (lucky me). I have been considering getting an account, we'll see. Maybe a new years resolution? Seems we could be neighbours?
Ah yes, the Nulla riots, (just had a peek at your User Page) you were doing a re-write. Hope my contribs. seem ok.(location of 'epicentre' in Elouera Road) Some things you just can't get cites for quickly. (had a look at your version, fixed 2 minor spelling errors, hope that's OK.) It certainly doesn't lack in-line cites!! IMHO actually too many. We'll have to discuss. --220.101.28.25 (talk) 03:58, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA Mentor

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you said that you are available as a good article mentor and had dealt with law related articles in the past.I recently attempted my first GA review at William Garrow - I have not done a GA nomination before and would appreciate your comments on my review and on the article, especially my limited perceived criticism. If you could help ut that would be great, thanks!Ajbpearce (talk) 00:29, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

William Garrow

[edit]

Hey there! I've made the tweaks recommended by your templating; what chance, out of interest, would the article stand at FAC, in your opinion? Ironholds (talk) 16:40, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Direct quotes I can work on; family is problematic. I could triple it, but most of it would be irrelevancies; complete biographies of his children, for example. Ironholds (talk) 18:30, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Basically. None of the defence cases were particularly important is the thing; the only info really given is "he was aggressive, as demonstrated by X, and good at cross-examination, as demonstrated by Y". Ironholds (talk) 18:43, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA renomination for Murder_of_Marwa_El-Sherbini

[edit]

Dear Sanguis Sanies, since I've been back from my sabbatical, my collaborator Tschild and I have made all the major changes you had recommended, including the lead. We have also followed most of your minor suggestions, which I had found very useful. I was hoping you might be able to reassess the article, as I merely missed the deadline rather than being unwilling to comply. In either case, I'd like to thank you for your effort. All the best! Your Mootros (talk) 21:45, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment here instead of at FAC

[edit]

By the way, I wrote this. --Moni3 (talk) 13:31, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have opened the review on this article, but i'm not sure you're going to like what I said :-) If you are prepared to read the sources and revise, i'm prepared to hold it open for a while, but it may not be feasible. I haven't looked at other issues yet. Cheers, hamiltonstone (talk) 01:13, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note to say I'd like to close this GA review, and i stand by my main concern that the article needs to make use of the scholarly lityerature. How are you placed? hamiltonstone (talk) 00:42, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I picked up some other issues, some of which i tried to address, and i asked for a second opinion in case i was being too inflexible on the scholarly sources point. You might want to check it out: Talk:2005 Cronulla riots/GA1. Cheers, hamiltonstone (talk) 23:36, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good article mentor request

[edit]

I hope you don't mind me dropping you a message, but I noticed your name on the list of good article mentors and, indeed, that you are interested in film and television articles. I performed my first GA review today for the EastEnders character Bianca Jackson, and wonder if you wouldn't mind looking at my findings and providing a second opinion. I am fairly sure that the article fails, with too much work required for an 'on hold' status to be appropriate. However, I am happy to be told otherwise and indeed would appreciate general advice on the style and depth of my review.

The appropriate review can be found at: Talk:Bianca Jackson/GA2. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide. Best regards, CountdownCrispy 15:04, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GA Mentor Request

[edit]

Hi there,

I was hoping that you could take a look at my first reviews here Talk:Never Say Never Again/GA1 and here Talk:Robert Abbott (game designer)/GA1 and provide any suggestions on improving my reviews? I hope that you don't mind my asking and thanks alot. --Deadly∀ssassin 04:09, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GA Second Opinion Needed

[edit]

I am currently reviewing the article for the film Contagion, but am unable to decide whether it should pass or fail, and since you stated that you are the person to come to about movies, I figured I would. User:Haon 2.0 (talk)

Formal mediation has been requested

Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 21 September 2015.

Hi! I saw your name on the list of GA mentors, and I would be very grateful if you were willing to have a check over my first GA review at Talk:Diddle Diddle Dumpling (Inside No. 9)/GA1 before I close the review. My opinion is that the nomination needs to be put on hold. Many thanks, --Jonie148 (talk) 14:54, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
