Berlebach Stativtechnik is a manufacturer of tripods and monopods from Mulda, Germany. They are known for their tripods being made from ash wood (Fraxinus excelsior), and manufacture products for photography, telescopes and surveying.

History

[edit]

Berlebach was founded by Peter Otto Berlebach in 1898.[1]
In 1994 Berlebach showed its products for the first time at the Photokina trade fair. Today they are a leading company for wood tripods and export to more than 40 nations.[citation needed] The main advantage of Berlebach tripods is the low oscillation, which is especially important for telephoto lenses.
