Actors with physical disabilities are also sometimes wheelchair users. This can include people who need a chair on a permanent basis, or it can include "ambulant users", in that they will predominantly use a wheelchair because they have limited movement, pain or suffer from fatigue. Some of these actors will act both in and out of the wheelchairs, and if they act out of the chair they use it to conserve energy for the performance.
