The 1900 Lincoln Blue Tigers football team represented Lincoln Institute—now known as Lincoln University—in Jefferson City, Missouri as an indepednent during the 1900 college football season.[1] The Lincoln football team finished the season with an unknown record after playing one game. The Lincoln Tigers played at least one game against rival HBCU, George R. Smith College during this season. Unfortunately the game score is unknown, as extant records have not yet been discovered. John W. Damel was the coach of the Lincoln football team during the 1900 season. He is the earliest named coach in the history of Lincoln football. Also on the 1900 team was Romeo West, a future Lincoln professor and eventual football coach.[2]

There were also accusations of Lincoln football players being involved in an election scandal in 1900, although the truth of these accusations remains speculative due to lack of details. The accused players allegedly cast illegal votes for the Republican candidate for coroner. [3]
