Introduction The Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire (AIRR) Community is an international network of researchers, clinicians, and computational biologists focused on the study of adaptive immune receptor repertoires. This community examines the sequences of antibodies (B-cell receptors) and T-cell receptors, which play a crucial role in adaptive immunity. The AIRR Community works on developing standards, tools, and practices for data sharing to enhance understanding of immune responses and support biomedical research and clinical applications.
History The AIRR Community was established in 2015 in response to advancements in high-throughput sequencing technologies and their application to immunology. It was created to address the need for standardized methods and data sharing in the field of adaptive immune receptor repertoire sequencing.
