Abubakar Sani (born May 11, 1977) is is a Nigerian politician, the former Senior Special Advisor to Tukur Yusuf Buratai (2021).
Early Life and Education
[edit]Abubakar Sani was born on May 11, 1977, in Maiduguri, Nigeria. He hails from Adamawa State. He holds a PhD in Military Studies, a Masters in International Affairs with a specialization in Defense and Security Studies, and a PhD in Business Administration.
Political Career
[edit]Sani served as a Senior Special Advisor to Tukur Yusuf Buratai , ( The Nigerian army lieutenant general, former Chief of Army Staff[1] (appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2015),[2] and Nigeria's Ambassador to the Republic of Benin.[3] who was commissioned into the Nigerian Army in 1983 and has had multiple command, administrative, and instructional appointments in 2021.
Family
[edit]He is the nephew of former Inspector General of Police Muhammadu Gambo Jimeta and the cousin of former Head of Service, Adamawa State, Barrister Musa Kaibo.
Contributions
[edit]Abubakar Sani also advocates against terrorism, addressing challenges faced by communities in the Lake Chad region. Abubakar Sani authored a book titled "Legend of Buratai," as reported by the New National Star. The book, described as an animation book, was unveiled in Abuja.[4] [5]
