Alien Code is a 2018 independent American sci-fi thriller written by Michael G. Cooney and directed by Sam Havenhurt, starring Kyle Gallner, Azura Skye, and Mary McCormack.

Synopsis

Disgraced cryptographer Alex Jacobs is recruited by a mysterious organization to decrypt a message hidden in a satellite. After he's decoded the message, which contains the blueprints to a device he is told will prevent World War III, Alex is stalked by otherworldly beings who question his motives and accountability in the use of this powerful technology. As he races against a terminal cancer diagnosis to figure out the origin of these otherworldly beings, and the true purpose of the message he deciphered, he teams up with Beth Carter, the cryptographer who had worked to decode the satellite before he was hired. Together Alex and Beth fight against glitches in time, inter-dimensional forces, and government agents to prevent the technology they decode from being used for war.

The script was initially developed under the title, “The Men.” The film’s title was changed during post-production. [1]

The film was released on August 7th, 2018 by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.[2]
