Production
[edit]The film’s first look was unveiled by Jeet, who took to social media to share a poster that exudes intrigue and excitement.[3] The poster features Jeet soaring on a futuristic flying superbike, a first in Indian cinema. This visual element has sparked immense anticipation among fans, especially with the unique pairing of Jeet and Rukmini Maitra on screen for the first time.
Cinebot
The production of Boomerang, starring Bengali superstar Jeet, marks a significant technological advancement in the Bengali film industry with the introduction of the Cinebot technology
Jeet, who has been instrumental in bringing this technology to Bengali cinema, believes that the inclusion of cinebots will offer a unique and thrilling cinematic experience. The cinebots’ capabilities were particularly beneficial for the film’s action sequences, where the speed and agility of the camera movements were crucial.[4]
Superbike
Alongside the cinebot technology, “Boomerang” also features a custom-designed futuristic superbike, which plays an integral role in the narrative. The bike’s design and technology align with the film’s futuristic theme and serve as more than just a mode of transport within the story[5]

Initially set to grace the silver screens on May 10, 2024, the film’s debut was postponed to June 7, 2024. This strategic decision was influenced by the concurrent Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May, prompting the producers to avoid a clash with the significant political event.[6]
