Eckert's Farm is a pick-your-own produce destination which offers dining and other activities appropriate for all age groups. Eckert's is also involved in wholesale fruit production.^[1]

Locations

Eckert's Farm has four locations, three in Illinois (Belleville, Millstadt, and Grafton) and one in Kentucky (Versailles).^[2] The Belleville Farm is open year round.^[3] Millstat Farm ^[4] and Grafton Farm^[5] are open seasonally.

History

Johann Peter Eckert immigrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from Germany and began farming in 1837, marking the start of the farm's history.^[6]

One of his descendents, Alvin O. Eckert, opened a produce stand in 1910.^[7]

Over time the family has expanded the business. The Belleville location, which is the largest, includes the Country Restaurant and the Country Store and Garden Center. The Millstadt and Grafton locations include both orchards and general stores. The Versailles location, which was opened by Eckert's in 2017^[8], includes an orchard.
