Francesco D'Episcopo (born 1949) is an Italian literary critic and former professor at University of Naples Federico II.[1] He is President of the Centro Contemporaneo delle Arti and member of the Empathic Movement (Empathism).
Career
[edit]He published several books of criticism with a special attention to poets and writers of the South of Italy, in particular he dedicated monographs to Alfonso Gatto, Enzo Striano and Menotti Lerro. He is the author of Alfonso Gatto picaro e poeta. Tra Sud e Nord (1989); Enzo Striano (1992); William Wordsworth e la pre-scienza della poesia (2014); Salerno. Sulla scia di Alfonso Gatto. Masuccio e l'Ottocento salernitano (2004), Menotti Lerro. Tra drammaturgia e narrativa (2019); «Entropia del cuore» di Menotti Lerro. Segreti e suggestioni (2020). In In 2018 he received the Prize "Giambattista Vico"[2] and the Cilento International Poetry Prize for criticism.[3] He is the president of the Centro Contemporaneo delle Arti founded by Menotti Lerro in 2019.[4] In 2020 he adhered to Empathism.[5][6]
