Draft:Jack Perry (entrepreneur)
Submission declined on 12 December 2022 by JSFarman (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

- Comment: The draft still uses industry marketing and buzz-speak that is not neutral. (..."whose products and services power live streaming solutions for television broadcasters, including Paramount+ (formerly CBS All Access), Hulu, fuboTV and more."If you are stating that he created a subscriber authentication service that is used by every local television station in the US, you need a source. (I couldn't find anything.) I am sure he is accomplished, but to establish notability on Wikipedia extensive coverage specifically about Jack Perry via reliable, independent sources is required.. JSFarman (talk) 19:08, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: See WP:COI. WP:External links would also need to be removed. Greenman (talk) 22:58, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: Article still seems a bit promotional in nature. The sources in the article are either passing mentions or do not mention the subject at all. You need to add reliable sources, also the sources have to be independent of the subject. Jamiebuba (talk) 18:24, 9 November 2022 (UTC)
