Joseph Anthony "Joe" Peterburs (born on November 25, 1924)[citation needed] was an officer in the United States Air Force during World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War.
Biography
[edit]Peterburs was born on November 25, 1925, in St. Paul, Minnesota. His father was born in Germany and later came to the U.S.A. First plan was that Peterburs should become a priest and got the education for that profession. This plan stopped because he got in touch with his girl friend named Josephine.[2]
In 2005 Peterburs met his opponent in the end of war, Walter Schuck, in person during a visit of Schuck to the US.[3] They became friends until Walter Schuck passed away in 2015.[4]
