Karanga people mostly known as the mhofu are the true original forefathers of the Shona which were originated in north east Africa Egypt,Ethiopia and Sudan in 50000 BC then migrated to guru uswa present day kinya then with other bantu speakers the finally migrated to Southern Africa

The Karanga people also known as the mhofu calling Themselves tino zuzira tiri mhofu yemukono tisu Vana Musingarabwi mutunhu unemago. Naming they children names like Takunda, Toyendepi, Madavirashe, Munyaradzi Musingarabwi and Chiedza Chihera moving south crossing the limpopo River they settled in present day Mesina in south africa and forming the kingdom of Mapumabge disagreeing with the other tribes the finally moved north to Zimbabwe in Masvingo lead by Musingarabwi meaning the uncountable who was the spiritual leader and formed the Kingdom of Zimbabwe in the 11th century Changamire mombo believing in MWARI Musikavanhu meaning GOD the Creator over the years in 16th century calling Themselves the rozvi empire successful battles like diffiting the Portuguese in the early 18th century after the death of the king Changamire out of nowhere

Muzlikhazi living Zulu land with his Ndebele warriors moved north living distraction on his trail when he settled in Zimbabwe he made king but not all shona people excerpt him as king like the Karanga people the Mhofu clan dined Muzlikhazi rules and authorities and they kept living in Masvingo until today.
